Rixter
Just found these articles while trying to find out why there are no American-made Li-ion batteries. Turns out there are: Electro Energy sells "made in the U.S.A." lithium ion batteries and Electro Energy Receives $100,000 Order for Lithium-Ion Batteries It appears that Electro Energy's USA18650BXC Li-ion batteries are assembled into packs used in communications equipment for military applications, but it's only a matter of time before they'll be available to the general public. IMO, there's just too much demand for American-made 18650s for them not to sell to the public. Edited September 14, 2013 by Rixter
Rixter
Maybe NOT finally...I just noticed that those articles are a few years old. Sorry for the excitement. Back to the drawing board. *EDIT* Even worse news...now they're out of business. (note to self: check the dates before you post) Edited September 14, 2013 by Rixter
Tam
I'm rather surprised that they're not readily available from several different manufacturers myself.
