rcoe
Noob question....is it worth the risk of breaking glass to go with the MiniPT vs the Evod? I understand the benefit of glass, but it comes with some risk and cost. Is there any real performance benefit or is it all just in the "cleanability" and nature of glass? OR should I just man up and get a KPT for home and use the Evods for the road? What do you all prefer? (many apologies if this is an old/tired topic)
Aquatroy
Mini is super mini, I use KPTs at home or on the road, I have never had one break. And those that have broke one was using it on a ego batt. Seems the APV's protect the tank better. My Tesla with KPT rolled of a bar table and went four feet down to concrete, fired right up. Wether it's a KPT, EVOD or a T3, all superior to what else is out there....
spydre
Trust me, I've dropped my Zmax with protanks on it a lot in the middle of night, and haven't had a pro tank break on me yet (knock on wood). Well, okay, only about four times, I think, but that's like four times in four days.
IMEDICx90
i had my original KPT break when it dropped on the gorund while connected to my eVic. I wasnt suprised at all since the floor was tile. I love my davides though and havent had any issue with any of them so far. Tam
wizard46304
I think the benefit of glass is worth the risk, but I'm using mini Davide's that cost less than a pro tank
Tam
Love my Davide minis on my Vision Spinners. They're the next best thing to direct dripping, IMO.
Christie
I have a protank 2 -and an evod Ill put it this way , I broke my protank 2 last friday by dropping it on the tile , I ordered 3 replacement glass pieces and 2 more protank 2s yesterday . I cannot be without it. the glass is $3 . So I figure I spent 18.00 on the tank and 3 for the glass replacements its cheaper that buying a cheap little clearo ( the glass ) and it has a much better hit , doesnt interfere with the taste ,is bottom coil changeable and has a removable drip tip . to me Its a no brainer .Once you have glass, youll notice all the difference in the world .Im had planned on using my vivi nova or evods at work I did once -Im a dog groomer and work in a hectic environment Ill take my chances lol its too big of a disappointing experience to NOT use the glass full time .Just my thoughts . Christie
Thanks a ton everybody...glass it is. Looking forward to it. You wont regret it . Also now you can use cinnamon and mints without worry about cracking and clouding tanks .
bcartervol98
I would seriously look into the Davide mini if you are going with a mini. $11.99 and holds more liquid than mini KPT plus uses same coils. You can also use different drip tips with it and they are releasing tubes soon to make it 3, 4, or 5 ml just by switching the glass. I love mine, own 8, and will most likely buy a few more at some point. I love my KPT 2 as well, but not the mini.

IMEDICx90
I snagged a few kpt2's and mkpt2's in proetus' co'op so the wife could have some glass tanks and I could have a few kpt2's for my personal arsenal. The price was too good to pass up. $10 a kpt2 and $7 for a mini.

IMEDICx90
How do I get in on Proetus' co-op goodness? Well the co'op is closed since it filled up. But you have to go to ECF and get verified for the classifieds section then you can access all the co'ops and buying and selling.
