I got some coils a while back that were something like 1.9 .

I cant remember now, why I didn't like them But I do remember thinking Il never buy that again lol . I ordered 2.5 this time but cant anyone tell me which coils you get and why ? Now they are mixed up with the others from using them then tossing them in the to clean cup during flavor change. So I cant "test" them .Thats what I get for hurrying I guess .

well im probably not the best person to answer as i wrap my coils to be about 1.1-1.3 ohms in everything, but when i was buying the protank coils i generally settled in the 2.2 range. They gave me the ability to bump up my voltage all the while i had a lower coil so it didnt take me forever to heat the coil. :)

Depends on voltage ,liquid and personal preference.I like 2,8 ohms at 3.7 volts.A volt ohm meter would be a good investment for cases like yours, troubleshooting gear and just feeling like you can measure anything. You can get a serviceable one for around $10.00.I got mine from Sears.

Some coils have the resistance engraved on it. Vivi coils, CE coils, T2 coils and recently all Kanger bottom coils should have the resistance rating engrave. Your older coils might not have it.

When we first got the evods, we took whatever it was that the clerk handed to us, I think 2.2. But I was getting some coils fresh out of the box that when I first used them (gave them plenty of time to soak up the juice) already tasted burned. Found out why. Once I got this Zmax, the first thing I would do with an evod after hooking it in was check the resistance, and a few of those "2.2" ohm coils were in fact, 1.6. Now, since a) using VV/VW, and B) almost everything I use is glass now, I just told hubby we'd only get 2.5's from here on out. I've rarely had a 2.5 register lower than 2.5, but I've frequently had the 2.2's end up being low.

I generally like 2.2ohm coils with my clearos. With a twist I seem to get the right combination of flavor and vapor. Plus they tend to last a little longer and stand up to cleaning.

I prefer to stay around 2.0 - 2.2 ohm with the coils on my tanks and clearomizers at around 4.0 ohms. On my HH.357 atomizer, it's 2.0 ohms at 4.3 - 4.5 volts.
