Coil Malfunction

I had purchased a titanium coil, made by Alien Vape. The storefront I had purchased it from said that it was the best coil on the market, although I am a little skeptical about that. Anyways, after installing it, I only got one good puff from it and it stopped working. Upon opening the cap, I couldn't see anything wrong with it. I tested it again with the cap off and it blew up, a bright white spark shot up in my face. lol.

Has this ever happened to anyone else? I brought it to the attention of the staff at the storefront, and they gave me 2 standard coils to replace the faulty titanium one. They seem to be working just fine. Also, I vape on the lowest setting my X6 offers, as I don't get much flavor out of the higher settings, and feel they would lower the lifespan of the wick/coil.

I am looking into purchasing the Kanger ProTank 2. What are the pros and cons of the bottom feed versus the top feed wick systems?

Thank you in advance.

I'm not the one to ask about your coil, but a far as clearos go, I've been switching to all bottom coil so I can vape all the way to the bottom. I chain vape and would get dry hits if I didn't keep my top feeds full.

I chain vape as well. Thank you for the input on the bottom feeder wizard. Your opinion is very much appreciated. I will definitely be investing in a bottom feeding unit.

I have both the davide and the protank 2 -both excellent tanks! the davide has a little bit more air to the draw than the protank 2

both being bccs are great -the are pretty much plug n play no swirling tanks to wet the wicks , and changing the coil is as simple as unscrewing and replacing no drippy wicks ! no mess so it makes for quicker flavor changes if thats your cup of tea .The ony thing I can think of being negative is on the davide mini its a trick to fill as the holes are pretty small but if you use a needle nose bottle ,youre golden.

I have both, the Pro Tank 2 and Davidi mini, and I prefer the Davide mini. If you're careful it's not hard to fill it with a regular drip bottle top, you don't absolutely need a needle tip or syringe. The Davide mini offers the closest to direct dripping as far as delivering flavor that I've found. YMMV. I get mine from Discount Vapers. :)

lol I cannot do it without that needle nose bottle , I have nerve damage in my hands and they shake sometimes .your right though someone with normal hands could probably do it (just not me lol )

With shaking hands I would imagine it's near impossible to keep the liquid from going into the center tube out out the top. I've thought of using a syringe at times but can't be bothered. Thankfully, my hands are steady enough to be able to forego the other. :)
