I started vaping a few months ago, and all of a sudden (after about 3 weeks) the enamel on my top teeth started sloughing off. My dentist thinks it could be the e-cigs, but I can't bring myself to quit long enough to find out. Has anyone else had, or heard of, this problem with vaping?

No. I have 2 dentists in my family and they were both thrilled I stopped smoking and started vaping. There has been no established correlation between e-cigs and tooth decay.

Hmmm, now I really wonder what the actual problem is with my teeth. But thanks a load for letting me know I don't have to try and quit vaping because of my teeth :animier:

I would do whatever my medical professional advised. and not what you read on a forum. True no correlation has been proven, and B means well, but we would want to ensure your health comes first, so follow his/her advice.and let us know your progress ....

Agreed, I am not a dentist so follow what your dentist says. I am only relaying what I was told by my father in law and uncle, both cosmetic dental specialists. I am in no way a dental expert.

All three of us are within 20 days of each other, I'm hoping we can get some long time vapers opinions, maybe they've been to the dentist and have time to measure any changes...I know my teeth are whiter and breath better without doing anything different !!

I have been vaping for almost 4 years and have not had any issues. In fact my teeth are whiter than when I smoked. I also have not had a cavity in 4 years. Vaping is a miracle drug that cures all ailments ( that last sentance was my attempt at being funny and in no way am I making any health claims). :p

You know, it seems odd to me that whenever folks go to the doctor or dentist, they always say that the e-cig is what's causing all your problems. Strange.

I've been vaping steadily since April 8, 2012. Since that day, I've not had a single cold or respiratory ailment of any kind. I've also had no dental problems other than the normal things that 48-year-old people go to the dentist for. My overall health is great since I quit smoking cigarettes.

Since so many people are starting to embrace e-cigs as a healthier alternative to tobacco, I think it's high time for medical professionals to start using a little common sense and arm themselves with more facts, and stop lying so much about vaping. Would they rather you continue smoking?

I started vaping on May 10, 2012 and my dentist is thrilled -- as is my dental hygienist who cleans my teeth. As someone who is prone to cavities by genetics I've not had a cavity since I started vaping and my dentist is happy that my teeth are healthier than they've been in some time. Now, whether that's because of vaping or not, I have no idea. All I know for certain is that my smile is whiter than it's ever been. :D

My I usually get an 80/20 mix of various sweet flavors from Mt. Baker Vapor, though my current favs are whipped cream and bavarian cream. I'm still a bit of a newb so I don't know what you mean by ADV's.

Oh, DUH! I prefer whipped cream and bavarian cream from Mt. Baker Vapor in 80/20 and a strength of 36. At night I vape Moo Juice 18. I typically vape about every hour (longer if I'm busy), taking 10 puffs at a go.

I didn't even know you could get 54mg. nic in a cartridge unless you filled it yourself.

"36mg nic? DAYUMN! I am at 6 now and cant even imagine the throat hit of 36mg on a dripper. :)"

I only hit for 4 - 5 seconds at 3.8V on a VS1300 with a Kanger T3, so I don't get much more of a TH than with the 18. I started out with 24 but moved up to the 36 because I get a nice buzz on (especially in the a.m., and the first one of the morning is a doozy!) :yes
