iMatt Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 My one month old Vivi Nova has a strong burnt taste after recent cleaning with water. I've tried various new wicks and liquids. Any thoughts?
Tam Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 What battery are you using? Is it variable voltage? If so you might want to turn it down all the way and work your way up little by little. Otherwise...not a clue.
iMatt Posted August 27, 2013 Author Posted August 27, 2013 No new coil, just new wicks. Using an iTaste MVP. Still get the burnt taste on any voltage, just not as strong. I haven't used it that much, say 7 tanks worth. Do the coils go that fast?
Tam Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 A coil can go with the first use. Unfortunately, quality control issues are...well, issues. Jeffb 1
Love2VapeDaily Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 i have a kpt with coils going on 2 months old. but i always soak them in vodka not water.
iMatt Posted August 27, 2013 Author Posted August 27, 2013 Good tip. Think I will soak mine in rubbing alcohol.
IMEDICx90 Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 try and empty the tank and do a dry burn. you might just have to burn off the excess water. I have had it taste burnt until the water burned off. So i learned to curb that by doing a quick dry burn before you load up the tank.
iMatt Posted September 1, 2013 Author Posted September 1, 2013 Dry burn seemed to clear up the issues after cleaning. It probably was excess water after cleaning. Thanks for all the tips.
