Bebop Posted October 26, 2013 Author Posted October 26, 2013 Did anybody see "Gravity" yet? I saw it in 3D last weekend and it was awesome. A great roller coaster ride of a movie.
bcartervol98 Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 I like all sorts of movies but those hilariously stupid stoner movies are the best. Some of my favorite movies are Anchorman Grandmas Boy Pineapple Express SuperBad Life Harlem Nights 48 Hours Trading Places I like to laugh lol.
wizard46304 Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 My all time favorite movie is "the jerk" bcartervol98 1

BirdDog Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 (edited) Looking forward to "Ender's game" next weekend Have you read the book? It is a great story. Not sure if I trust Hollywood enough to pull this one off. Edited October 27, 2013 by BirdDog
Bebop Posted October 27, 2013 Author Posted October 27, 2013 Love the book. Nervous about the movie but its been a long time coming and i think I'll enjoy it anyway - if they don't eff it up, lol

Bebop Posted October 27, 2013 Author Posted October 27, 2013 Ok. But I tend to enjoy movies in general inspite of some flawss Enjoyed John Carter in spite of it being different from the book. But I LOVED the books so couldn't miss the movie
Bebop Posted November 2, 2013 Author Posted November 2, 2013 Looks like I won't get to Ender's Game til Sunday Wife wants to see Vegas movie 1st
kerk Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Want to watch a movie to make you stop and 'think'? A movie to make you stare blindly at the screen for two minutes after it ends? 'Seven Pounds' with Will Smith. Don't like Will Smith? You will. Havamal 1
Bebop Posted November 10, 2013 Author Posted November 10, 2013 Kerk - that's a great movie but I also am a fan of Wil Smith. Have to put in a plug for "Last Vegas". Hilarious movie with minimal raunch. A-list actors are top notch with Mary Steenburger really shining. If you are under 35 or 40 then you may not get it. Those of us in mid life or older will experience the satisfaction of a movie made for us and very well done. I haven't laughed through a movie like this in a long time. Def a comedy with heart.
Aquatroy Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 American Mustang....worthy of the ducketss
highpass Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 I loved Prometheus. Even my girl enjoyed it and she hates anything sci-fi. Will check out Last Vegas
iheartvape Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 My daughter is making me watch curse of chucky with her. I hate horror flicks they bore the hell out of me.
capitanovapor Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 iheartvape: The Conjuring was a pretty good horror movie so try to convice your daughter to watch this instead chucky My recommandation is Crash (2004)
Havamal Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 I have not seen a really good horror movie in a long time. All they seem to put out these days are heavy on the gore and weak in the story line. A good horror movie does not require all the blood and guts. I have not seen the conjuring yet but I hear it is good. If you like a good story line with out the gore try Shiver - not the US one that came out in 2012 but the Spanish one http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0896927/ That is if you can handle sub titles I know some people wont do sub titles...

Based on your smoke free ticker, if like me, I'm guessing that 215 days ago, those laughs would have would have had you coughing your head off.
iheartvape Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Anyone seen Parkland yet? I watched it tonight it was pretty good, but it ended and I was like oh wait hold on its over!?!?
capitanovapor Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Parkland was ok from my point of view. I liked the Paul Giamatti's interpretation of Zapruder. Oh, and the scene when they carry the coffin up the airplanes steps was pretty intense
