Jessicapinkie1
Hello everyone! So I have been vapping for a month and since the day my man got me the e cig I have not had a cig. Even have two packs sitting here. I have no cravings for them they stink to me now and I think wow I used to smell really bad lol So what do I tell my parents and my man when they say "well I thought it would get you to stop smoking all together" or "when do you plan to stop vapping" so on and so fourth!?! This all started because I have the e smart and decided I liked vapping so ordered the eVod and new juices. They said "why? I thought this switch was to get you to quit" (my dad dips has since he was real young so why he doesn't understand I don't know. I actually really really like vapping and don't plan on stopping. Which I said to my dad today in response and he shakes his head at me and sighed. So what can I say they know its a lot better than reg cigs. Not sure they know the extent. Thanks everyone
Bebop
How about something like "it's a very long process, and it takes time, and how what a marvelous success you are and my, don't I smell nice, and isnt it wonderful how food tastes incredible and gee it feels great to be alive. Etc" And then glance over at the spitoon and crinkle your nose a little and shake your head. They'll get the message sonofzell

spydre
Obviously, they don't understand the vaping experience. In addition to Bebop's suggestions, explain that you plan on stepping down your nicotine content slowly (depending on the size of your bottles, I wouldn't recommend dropping down a step more than every two bottles - for the 30 ml bottles). And frankly, even when you get to zero nicotine, you may choose to continue vaping. I'm not sure if I will or not, but I definitely enjoy the flavors. I mean, why do some people that don't smoke go to hookah bars? On the same note, why do people that don't drink go to bars, or even get the virgin equivalent to alcoholic drinks (I myself love a virgin strawberry daiquiri)? DAYVAPE
What mg juice are you currently vaping? I have gotten down to using either 6mg or 12mg... depending on the day. I honestly think I could drop to 6mg totally and be fine... but I doubt I will ever go to 0 nic. Hey, I enjoy a little nicotine in my vape! And the little that I am getting likely isn't any worse than a little caffeine... and getting that nic thru vaping is certainly/obviously many times better than analogs ever were! Just flat out ask them if they would prefer you start back on analogs again... or continue to vape and feel better like you are happily doing now. I would just tell them that you would much rather feel good, like you do now... and prefer smelling things again, like you do now... and like tasting things again, like you are now... and that you enjoy not getting winded walking up a freakin' flight of stairs like used too. Simple as that. If they aren't going to support your choice to stop smoking any more than they have... then I wouldn't even waste your breath trying to tell them. I would eventually just not worry about trying to please them if they can't see and understand the obvious benefits from vaping over smoking. They surely are smart enough to see the obvious here... I hope, for your sake at least. Good luck! Edited August 21, 2013 by DAYVAPE
bcartervol98
I no longer look at vaping as a way to quit smoking like at first, but rather a much cheaper and safer alternative. Maybe explaining it that way makes sense. I think using the term "I quit smoking" is a little zealous for what we do. To me, quitting smoking equates to breaking a nicotine addiction and I am not doing that. I am however using what I feel is the safest delivery method possible and feel great, am off a lot of the meds I used to take daily, and couldn't be happier. I may try a drop to 18 or 16mg once my liquids get low, just to see if I can, but I in no way see it as something I "need" to do since there are so few inherent dangers from nicotine alone. It is not all that different from caffeine and I bet they are drinking sodas or coffee in the morning. Both are just mild stimulants. sonofzell
Uma
Hey, if you're unhappy with my vaping, I could always try to go back to smoking tar, and 400 other toxic chemicals if you miss them that much. But, you better pay for my hearse. I'll quit vaping when I'm good and ready, thank you very much. I enjoy vaping, it calms me whenever I'm around stupid idiots like you. I'll quit vaping the day you quit drinking coffee, BBQ-ing hot dogs, watching porn, criticizing others, dictating others, and being an overall pain in the human race arce. wait... maybe you don't want my advice... spydre
Jessicapinkie1
thank you all so much. I will probably just say that I will work the steps down on nicotine as I feel and that I don't think I'll stop. Uma
