Welcome to vaportalk !

ok that is referring to the content of nicotine per ML of eliquid fluid .so If you got 16 MG you will be vaping 16 MG per Ml of fluid.Does that make sense?

How much were you smoking cigarettes?

Like Christie said the bigger the number the stronger the nicotine content. You pretty much should go with the lowest number you can get away with .16 is a good starting point. If you are trying to beat your addiction to nicotine you can work your way down until you get to 0 nicotine or just decide it is time to quit vaping.A lot of folks just substitute vaping for smoking and they tend to stick with the higher content.Welcome and enjoy.

I myself started with a nicotine level that was supposed to be equivalent to what I smoked - 24 mg. Then I dropped after about 2 weeks to 18 mg, except one of the flavor samples I ordered a couple of weeks ago was 15, and I've re-ordered that at a 15 as well. Getting ready to drop my other flavors to 16 or 14, depending on what the shops I got them at have in stock - they only carry 16 or 14, they don't carry 15.

After about 4 years of vaping... I have settled in at 12mg.

I also soon realized, in the beginning, that the higher nic levels came across as quite harsh.

I would end up with a burnt throat kinda feeling and would cause me to cough as well.

As soon as I lowered the nic level (to 12mg for me)... that harshness went away... and those great flavors were plentiful.
