Bebop
What should I think of a vendor who sends me 2.4 ohm coils when I ordered 2.0 ohm? And my order says 2.0 and the invoice is marked 2.0 ohm delivered. I suppose its possible the coil measures 2.0 even though its clearly stamped 2.4 But I always raise an eyebrow when stuff like this happens. How many of you have had similar issues? Is this a rare mistake? Or signs of a shady vendor....
Jeffb
I dont think the vendor is shady. I dont see how they would benefit from sending you the wrong ohm clearos. They could have ordered 2.4 ohms from the factory and got 2 ohm instead.
Tam
Depends on what the vendor does about your order once you contact him/her to let them know of the mix up. If they offer to correct and make it good I'd say it's a good vendor and they just made a mistake. If they give you any grief -- never use them again and let us know who they are so we don't experience the same thing.
Bebop
Alright its a deal. New vendor for me and the prices were good, middle of the road, not TOO cheap, lol. Its hardly worth mentioning to them. I was just contemplating another order with them and I think what I'll do is just mention it to them and see what they say. I dont want to make fuss over it because the coils work fine, they just aren't what I asked for. I sort of equate it with "no pickle" at the drive thru and they put a frikken pickle on there, lol
Jeffb
Tam brings up a good point. Vendors are human and can make mistakes. Its how they handle a mistake that determines if they are a good vendor in my eyes. Aquatroy and Tam
Bebop
Ok. So maybe this vendor was doing me a service. I measured the resistance of the coils and one came out 2.1 and the other 2.0. Its quite possible they confirmed the resistance no matter the markings and sent me what I asked for. Pretty cool, actually
Patricia
Like the previous posts I believe how the vendor corrects the error shows if it was intentional or error. I had a vendor send me 20 dud CE4s and CE5s. However, when I made him aware of the bad equipment he sent me 20 more with no questions asked and so far they all work.
