tzymroz2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 I have searched for well over a 2 months and all are out stock on internet? Anyone have an extra 1 to sell? I want to rebuild some atty wicks and check some old carts before tossing. thanks.
joe2003 Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 (edited) http://www.madvapes.com/cartomizer-and-atomizer-ohm-meter.html I use madvapes for almost all my DIY mod stuff Just use their:notify me option they restock fairly regularly. Edited August 7, 2013 by joe2003
Patricia Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Would one of these readers tell you when the Cartomizers & atomizer is burnt out or ready to be replaced?
Love2VapeDaily Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 im guessing the resistance would change drastically
Bebop Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 You might be able to buy parts to make one at radio shack but you wont find one of those units with the various connections for different clearos and stuff if that is what your looking for. A regular ohm meter woyld work but one of those boxes with the 510 connections and others are pretty slick. I want one too. I might make one myself when im feeeling like a project Patricia - its a device that you screw your clearomizer into or your RBA deck into and it measures the resistance of your coil. Builders use them to measure their coil resistance when they rebuild their atomizers. It would tell you if your atomizer is not working correctly or if the resistance changed but it wont tell you id your wick is burned. Its primary function is to measure the resistance across a coil tzymroz2013 1
tzymroz2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Author Posted August 7, 2013 . Everywhere I have checked r out of stock, and been that way since i started vaping. If anyone knows how to make can you do a tutorial please.
Jeffb Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 You can get a regular volt/ohm meter at radio shack/ sears or online to check the resitance of your cartos/clearos.
IMEDICx90 Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Christie yes some mods have built in ohms meters my eVIC and my itaste both have one.
Rixter Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 (edited) Here's what I use...$9.95 + shipping. Edited August 7, 2013 by Rixter
IMEDICx90 Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Rixter what torch do you use to oxidize your mesh?
Rixter Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 I use a Bernz-O-Matic propane torch that I picked up from Walmart for around $20. I'll post a pic when I get home tonight.
IMEDICx90 Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 It's cool bro I'm gonna go get one either tonight or tomorrow. my little pen one just doesn't heat well enough.
Bebop Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 Here's a link to what he's talking about. For some reason the madvapes link is not working http://www.empiremods.com/category_s/69.htm
DragonGunner Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 I just got in my orders and one of them is smoktech rsst genesis atomizer. Felt like I wanted to begin rebuilding my own stuff. I searched and searched for one of those nifty ohm readers from all vendors, but alas they were all sold out. So I did the next best thing. I just ordered a sigelei Zmax V3 to check my atty's voltage. Of course it was just an excuse to buy another PV but hey the excuse worked. Oh and not to derail this thread, but I just tried for the very first time to get my rsst up and working.....epic failure. Those guys on youtube make it look real easy. I will eventually get the hang of it, but I found it difficult. Me an my big clumsy fingers trying to wrap a coil around a wick was most likely comical to watch but extremely annoying to me.
Love2VapeDaily Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 Do some of the mods do this feature? yes some mods will tell you atty/carto resistance so then you can choose where to set your Volts or watts
tzymroz2013 Posted August 8, 2013 Author Posted August 8, 2013 thanks everyone you all are grreeaattt.
