.....that your coils are bad?

Now I just discovered the 'Tutorial' forum, which is a treasure trove of info, but didn't see anything that pertained to my question. So I thought it might be educational to get opinions from the experienced on what clues them into 'bad coils'.

Curious, as I don't know if it's just me, but one of my EVOD tanks is vaping Okay (I guess) but seems to be getting kind of tasteless. It's probably had about 15 ml through it.

Anyway......what clues 'you' in?

The one sure way of knowing is when you hear a "pop" and then it doesn't work anymore. Otherwise, the draw gets tighter, you get little to no vapor like you did when it was fairly new, the taste diminishes, it just doesn't work like it did. Some coils will last a long time while I've had a few that gave out within an hour to a day after. There's no quality control on the things that are made in China so it's all a crapshoot.

Ive noticed either a dramatic drop or increase in resistance of my coils when they begin to go bad.

I have noticed a bad burnt taste.

Bad burned taste, discoloration of your liquid, and in bottom coils I can usually tell by them leaking into the shaft and gurgling incessantly before any burned taste or anything else happens.

hmmm thats an interesting observation, but youre right those things often happen right before .huh

Only had 1 go bad so far (and that was after 2 refills), but it was gurgling enough that I couldn't get much out of it. Hadn't started leaking yet, though, got on the forums and got my question answered and got it changed out.
