Tam Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 well i pushed on it again and it popped in. LOL! well i guess still waking up and assembling my dripping atty is more complicated then i anticipated! hahah!!! Are you getting a better draw on it now?
IMEDICx90 Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 lol yeah. Im kinda sick and just woke up so im kinda hazy atm.
Tam Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 lol yeah. Im kinda sick and just woke up so im kinda hazy atm. Aw, sorry to hear you're not feeling well, but glad you don't have to worry about lining up holes...
bcartervol98 Posted August 3, 2013 Author Posted August 3, 2013 Should the atty and battery connection be getting noticeably hot? I never even felt the power button get warm with a clearo on there. Boy this is different.
IMEDICx90 Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 lol yeah i was like WTF?!?! i mean its gotta be the 10th atty i have used to drip in.. and i literally just opened it... i was about to get frustrated when lining up the holes didnt work.... LOL Should the atty and battery connection be getting noticeably hot? I never even felt the power button get warm with a clearo on there. Boy this is different. my eVic will heat up pretty fast bc of the metal atty. It is pretty normal just let it sit for a second and it should cool down relatively quickly.
Tam Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 Should the atty and battery connection be getting noticeably hot? I never even felt the power button get warm with a clearo on there. Boy this is different. Not really. The most I get is a bit warm when I'm chain vaping. What voltage are you vaping at and what ohm is your atty?
bcartervol98 Posted August 3, 2013 Author Posted August 3, 2013 2.0 ohm and vaping around 3.8v on my spinner.
Tam Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 At that your Spinner shouldn't be getting that hot. At least mine doesn't. I remember you said something about you take long, slow drags. Maybe shorten the draws a little to see if that helps?
Bebop Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 If youve flooded the atty it "increases the resistance" and your battery can get hot. Just like when a clearo floods the top of your battery But also when you are dripping that atty is not immersed in liquid and its pretty exposed so you will definitely notice more heat. Tam 1
Tam Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 But also when you are dripping that atty is not immersed in liquid and its pretty exposed so you will definitely notice more heat. LOL! That's probably why mine don't get hot, Bebop. I'm a terrible dripper who almost always over drips so my coil gets immersed. Thankfully, my drip shields help a LOT with that and makes it very forgiving.
Bebop Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 Sorry Tam, i wasnt meaning to contradict you in any way. Just kicking in my .02 I'll butt out now. I definitelt get more heat when I'm dripping but I do take pretty long drags too
Tam Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 No apology needed, Bebop. We all have our own way of doing things and experience different things. It's all good for bcarter to get differing points of view.
Bebop Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 Lol. I dont want to step on your toes. Youve khelped me out so much Btw, what resistance do you drip with?
Tam Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 2.0 ohm is my favorite although I've been known to branch out to 1.8 or 2.4 if I can't get the 2.0. No stepping on toes going on here. We all just want to help, and it always helps to hear others' point of view and their experiences. The more info we can add, the better for people to make up their own minds. Patricia 1
Bebop Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 Yeah i'm still learning a lot just by experimenting. Im using 1.8 and seems to be ok. Im finally at the point where i know how many drags i can get on afew drops My problem is getting the drops in the tube without spilling on myself, lol
Tam Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 My problem is getting the drops in the tube without spilling on myself, lol You might try a higher resistance atty to keep things cool yet get the vape you want without having to go to higher voltages. My sweet spot on a 2.0 ohm is around 4.0 for the bakery flavors, 3.3 to 3.8 on fruit flavors. YMMV. And this is why I like to use the long drip tips, too. It keeps the juice from coming back up and it's easy to grip to take it off to drip directly into the atty. No need to miss.
tzymroz2013 Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 this sounds complicated I will never learn. I think a video step by step would help me get it and then maybe...then someone to do my shopping Rixter and Patricia 2

I only have one tip and it will have to do for now. Tam 1

I think a video step by step would help me get it and then maybe...then someone to do my shopping It's not, really. There is a learning curve at the beginning but the pay off is very much worth it. I'll be happy to do your shopping and walk you through it. We'll start with the right equipment, that's more than half the battle right there, IMO. Patricia 1

Tam Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 Ah, see? That's why they pay you the big bucks! I only have one tip and it will have to do for now. Ha! I want my paycheck NAO!!! Haven't seen one for vaping yet. I get my long drip tips from Empire Mods. When I started I used the universal and my own drip tip of choice on top. I didn't care for how clunky it looked but it did the trick. http://www.empiremods.com/product_p/chrryuni.htm Then, I discovered these! http://www.empiremods.com/product_p/driptaxxxl.htm They're about half an inch shorter but work the same. They look much better too.

Tam Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 It's expensive knowing you! :-) Only if I'm doing it right.
