subnuclear Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Hi! I am a new member from Houston and am always in search of a better vape. It's like when you first start driving! that K-car was fine because it got you there a lot faster but you're always after that perfect (for you) vehicle. I smoked for 23+ years and my mother for 50+ we have both moved on to vaping now and couldn't be happier and are getting healthier! My biggest problem is finding a good liquid. I haven't really tried liquid from anywhere but the original place i bought my hardware (i buy direct from china now and in bulk so i can give hardware away and try and get others started vaping!). Liquid though i have not been very adventerous. My taste buds are not what they used to be and because i am a mouth breather with a continously clogged nasal passage i need strong flavors. So with that preamble i have a couple of questions. I don't mind trying new places but as my liquid stores build up here at home from trying a multitude of new flavors from my local shop i seem to have forgotten to ask. How long is the liquid good for? should i throw it out after a certain amount of time? I have noticed that as it ages it thickens up (50/50 mix) and uses up my disposeable ce4's pretty quickly. I however get them so cheap i don't mind if i have to replace them every few days. I have also noticed that anytime i "mix" my flavors it uses up my ce4's usually within a few days. If i only use 1 type of bottle flavor they can last sometimes weeks. Anyone know why this is? I am the type person that likes to get a good deal on things so as a heavy smoker how much of a liquid can i buy at one time? (obviously the more i buy at once the cheaper it is/ml). And a final question. When i look online they give heavy flavor as an option. Should i as one who often has trouble tasting the flavor in my vape go that route? how heavy does that make the flavouring? Ah well thanks for letting me unload some of my questions. I'll peruse the forums to see if any of those answers are self evident but you know how things can be worked to page gazillion. and i've always failed at forum search pages.
Viper Ron Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Welcome to the forum, I would recommend Sweet-Vapes. They have a choice for extra flavor and they are a respected vendor. They are very reachable by email and phone and could answer alot of your eliquid questions
Bebop Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Hey sub, welcome Most recommend juice lasting 6 months to 1 year stored in a cool, dry place. Have never experienced mixing flavors shortening atomizer life and I mix a lot of stuff. I have experienced random, uneven atty life especially with low end gear Extra flavoring is not always a good thing. Can make something taste perfumey or chemically. What flavors do you like?
subnuclear Posted July 31, 2013 Author Posted July 31, 2013 Seems that coffe and caramel bases are my favorite. Locally i buy a lot of caramel cappuchino and vanilla bean candy...and every time i mix the two together while i love it for a day my ce4 deteriorates quickly from that point and i throw it away after a day or two. same thing happens when i mix my kahlua and orange cream or add in pipe tobacco flavor to one and any of the afore mentioned for a little something different. I do use low end gear and am happy if i get a week out of a ce4. I just find it strange i can get that super ce4 and 3 weeks in i decide to do a little mixing of juices and 24 hours later my ce4 is dead and needing to be changed. I currently buy all my juice from the same local but am heading out in 30 minutes to try out a place called springvapor that a lot of my co workers seem to think has the best local juice.
subnuclear Posted July 31, 2013 Author Posted July 31, 2013 on a side note does the top of my office desk count as a cool dry place? LOL. Frequently i keep a lot of my travel juice bottles in a ziplock baggie stuffed into my back pack. Having to go offshore for work i get a lot of wastage in hardware and juice (thus i buy low end hardware) I also have evic which is super awesome in my opinion but i leave that at home when traveling.
Bebop Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 I think as long as you keep it from extremes you're ok with juice storage. I have a juuce for you to try. A couple of my regulars are: Vapedudes - Mocha Java Vapedudes - Mocha Java drizzle Vapedudes - Espresso (mixes well with vanilla/cream etc) ALL Extra Flavor at 70/30 For me some oof the best coffees Ive found Vapedudes does very well with most flavors. Strawberry Fields extra flavor is great I find their "naturals" series while decent tend to be subtle flavors and extra on those start to turn perfumey Tam 1
Love2VapeDaily Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 i have a vape dudes naturals simply pear extra flavor 70/30 pg/vg and it was great out the box. not perfumey at all. really anything vape dudes i tried kicks arse.
subnuclear Posted July 31, 2013 Author Posted July 31, 2013 Ok on your reccomendation i got all of those and am trying their apple pie that is on special too..lol i'm a sucker for trying new juices.
Bebop Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Great I think you will enjoy those. The next thing you could do without jumping expenses is get CE5 s and just buy replacement coil heads. I think if you buy 10 pack of coil heads you'll get a nice break. Then you just pop the tip off, unscrew the coil head, screw a new one on, replace the tip and you're good to go for another week or two.
subnuclear Posted August 30, 2013 Author Posted August 30, 2013 Just got back from a month working offshore. The vape dudes coffee flavors are ok but the chocolate seems to overwhelm the coffee. Will not be my main vape i do not think. the apple pie i got from them (was the special of the month) is outstanding though!!
