RedRed
I'm 1 month into this e-cig thing. I haven't smoked an analog in all that time, which I think is quite a feat since I've been smoking a pack-a-day since 1978. I don't really "love" vaping, but it seems to be "good enough" to get me through the day. I've moved down to 0 nicotine liquid, so I think my physical addiction is kicked and the habit I have left is all psychological. I'm satisfied with just dragging, getting that throat hit, and seeing the smoke come out. I am only vaping a few times a day. I don't seem to get the urge to do it as often as I used to smoke analogs. That's what I mean by not loving it. I like it fine, but I don't love it like I loved cigarettes, therefore I don't crave it as much. Maybe I'll eventually stop vaping too. Not sure on that yet. I think I'd like to keep it around forever, just in case. My extended family still considers me to be a smoker...I guess since vaping resembles smoking so much. They wouldn't say that to someone who chewed Nicorette all day long, but someone who vapes occasionally without nicotine is a "smoker". Screw them, I say. I'm a non smoker now. keenan
ANYTHING you do to get the monkey off your back is a step in the right direction. What others say or think about you means diddly squat. Its what YOU think/feel about yourself that matters. Keep up the good work !

TheSmokingMan
Way to go on a month of no analogues! I have been on the e-Cig for almost two months and haven't gone down to zero Nicotine yet, I have been told in the past by my physician that it only takes two weeks for the body to break the nicotine addiction, the rest is psychological. I reaffirm what everybody says about you not being a smoker anymore, your not smoking your vaping which is only water vapor and not smoke. By the way, Welcome to the Vapor Talk Forum, were here to help, just ask!
NeRo9k
I receive the same talks from my friends and family, "well ya, but aren't you still getting nicotine" Sometimes I get sick of explaining; if they don't understand or want to know, then so be it. I know I'm safer because of vaping and that's all that really matters!

I kind of had the same argument with my mother the other day, she said "Well, it still has nicotine in it and you'll get cancer"! I told her that I've been smoking 4004 chemicals for 25 years, 53 of which are carcinogens and I cut down to 5 chemicals, neither of which are carcinogens, nicotine does not cause cancer, it is not carcinogenic, it's the rest of the crap in cigarettes that causes cancer. Some people see smoke and assume there's fire!
