IMEDICx90 Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 I keep seeing this being advertised and i was curious as to whether anyone had actually used it or not? I will probably trial this since its only $2 for a 1000mm roll of it.
Uma Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 I haven't tried it.. haven't even researched/read up on it yet. Let us know how it works for you.
IMEDICx90 Posted July 28, 2013 Author Posted July 28, 2013 i thought so... but now i cant remember where the heck i found it! lol!
WillBlack Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 Well FWIW the term Glass Fibre can sometimes be silica. Note our common drinking glasses are ~75% silica. That said for the most part it may actually refer to a fiberglass, which in this country usually "is a fiber reinforced polymer made of a plastic matrix reinforced by fine fibers of glass." The main problem is it's much lower melting point than pure silica fiber. This vid may help. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yctRbIZpPeU Silica wick is what you should use, it can be dry burned and black crud buildup can be torched off.
IMEDICx90 Posted August 3, 2013 Author Posted August 3, 2013 Nah I use cotton now. I just toss the wick when I'm tired of the flavor. A wick costs me less then a single penny.
