I have had my ego-c cigg for almost two weeks and lastnight I noticed mine was getting really hot? Anyone know what I should do? I'm thinking I should take it bck to the supplier. Not sure. My sister has one also and hers seems to hit easier than mine, they are the same.

I would take it back. Not that I have had that exact battery but that's usually a sign of the battery failing. You don't want it to get hot and have the liquid leak and explode causing a fire and/or personal injury for anyone who happens to be near it. :/

I agree with all this. If it if getting noticably hotter than another like battery there is a malfunction and it seriously could explode and cause major injury.

This is a concern. I agree with the other posters, excerise discretion and be safe.

BTW: And sorta off topic, I have a question for the vets here, really two.

From what I understand, a battery will usually vent off gas first before any explosion might occur. And generally an explosion would only occur if that gas is trapped and pressure builds up and has nowhere to go (that's why we see vent holes in most mods).

Also, I read that the stick batteries (808's,510's) and possibly some of the Ego batts, are built with a "blow out cap" located in the led portion, to prevent an explosion from the build up of gases within the cell. Can anyone confirm this?

im sure there are some safety features built into them. Your cellphone battery has a blowoff right were it connects to the terminals on the bottom portion of the battery.

tha being said. even if the gases escaped through the blow out cap liquid would still start leaking very soon after the cap blows off and will start a fire. in no way is that a good safety feature. It will curb probably the worst side effects but if you notice your battery is getting hot to the touch then its time to either take it back or dispose of it immediately.

I agree with the posters above about the battery possibly being faulty. However, not knowing what type of vaper you are, if your tank/carto/atomizer is old the draw will get hard. I use an ego and mine gets hot. But I am a chain vaper and my draws are long. That will also make the battery quite warm or even hot. Does the battery appear to be hot or really warm when charging? Good luck and be safe.
