Are All 510S Created Equal?

I've now seen and heard many people talk about their 510s and some seem to have endless problems with them or having to replace the batts and attys within a couple of weeks or producing weak vapor/taste...

And then the other 50% of 510 owners say they absolutely LOVE their 510s, that they produce monster vapor and/or that they've been using the original batts and attys for 2 months and they're still going strong...

So, my question is:

Are all the parts the same just in different colors and packaging, or are there different manufacturers with slightly different hardware?

Also, could some of you 510 owners tell me where you purchased yours? I'm looking to get another kit and I would prefer it to not be a dud. Thanks!

Hi Fatalis. From what I understand, they;re ALL made in China, then redistributed here from different suppliers. As with any battery operated device, you get some good ones in the same box with the duds, especially anything from china.Just like the Blu cig, some people LOVE them, I hated mine. So I think the most important decision is a reputable supplier who will stand behind what he sells. I bought mine from Arno at awesomevapor.com. Arno is a GREAT guy, responds to your e mails the SAME day, great service, the best prices, his reputation speaks for itself.I dare say I wouldnt trust buying any PV from anywhere else. Ive been using mine now for 3 weeks, no problems. Also, this week I purchased some juice from wordup.com. I emailed a question about the strength, and had a PHONE CALL response about a minute after I hit send. And my juice got here in 2 days. So I think they must be a legit supplier as well. Now, Im just going by what Ive read here on Vapor Talk, so if someone needs to correct me, please do. Good Luck Fatalis.

P.S. = I LOVE my 510 !

Unfortunately what many people don't know and what many suppliers don't like to mention is that NOT all Joye 510's are made the same. Let me explain.

The Joye 510 is called the JOYE 510 because it's made by a company in China called Joye Tech. This model became very popular VERY fast. So guess what? Other manufactures started creating their own 510 versions. Some suppliers now sell "joye 510's" that are actually not created by Joye.

So how do you know? Well you don't. These things look EXACTLY the same. You would have to speak with your supplier/store and ask them. Then you have to hope they are being honest.

There are a few things that I've noticed however about the genuine 510. (I've order a few, some I'm pretty sure are fakes)

1. A real Joye 510 atomizer will usually have a 4 digit numeric serial number stamped on the bottom of the atomizer. Where the breath hole is.

2. One way to tell any Joye atomizer is by looking inside the atomizer itself, if it's a Joye it will usually have 2-4 clear looking threads that stick out of the wick.

I hope that helps a bit :)

Makes me wonder if I have a fake. I do not see the numbers on the atomizers, but I do see the threads under the wick. Mine seems to work great though, no complaints.
