E Juice Texture/Thickness

Recommended Posts

Hey Everyone, I'm new to vaping and I recently bought a bundled deal for the new Ego C upgrade kit. I've only been using it for almost a week now. So far I am down from one pack of real ciggs to 5 tops, which I am so proud of myself about. Anyways, so the liquid I ordered to start with was Stinky Canuk fruit punch flavored. Decent flavor, it's allright and the liquid is a bit thicker. The reason I mention that is because I just ordered two new flavors from Myfreedomsmokes. I got the Cinnamon Red Hots flavor VG85%/15PG 12 MG NIc blend as well as the Strawberry kiwi. Haven't tried them yet but I can see the liquid is much thinner than the Stinky Canuk. Is that a common difference from blend to blend that any experienced Vaper's here have noticed.? And has the thickness ever affected more or less drip or leakage? I have the Long Wick Ego VIsion Clearomizer tanks.

Usually with higher VG the juice tends to be thicker. You can just add a drop or two of distilled water to thin it down if you want. Go only one drop at a time so you don't get it too watery.

Different thickness of juices vary by vendor and sometimes even by flavor. Higher VG/thicker juice also makes it harder for the wick to absorb the e-liquid so you could experience a burning taste if you're not careful.

Good luck and congrats on switching to vaping!

Oh. One more thing. Be careful with the Cinnamon Red Hots flavor in a clearomizer with a plastic tank. Cinnamon and/or juices high in citrus as well as clove flavors can crack the plastic. Just keep an eye on it when using. :)

You usually specify the VG to PG blend based on the throat hit, taste and other related factors but the blend should also be considered based on the device you are intending to use it with. Typically, higher VG concentrations are going to work better with Direct Dripping into atomizers, empty cartomizers and the eGo-c and eCab tanks seem to handle it ok too. As far as clearomizers or other wicking type devices you should stick with higher pg concentrations 50/50 70vg/30pg etc for the reasons Tameiki explained above with the wicking and burnt taste issues.

Hello, just a random Maryland reference.

The Vape Dojo has an actual Storefront.

Something unavailable where I live...

Cheapest price I've ever seen on a starter kit:

Edit: They donated one of these at the last White Rose Vape Club meet

- that's how I heard about 'em
