How to Start...

ok so i was looking around and of course i couldnt find anything. I was wondering, how would one go about finding distributors for product to start a store? i know i need to contact some manufactures direct. but there have to be some whole sale distributors some where. I want to set something for my wife as she works weekends only right now and could use the extra money if we did a small shop, close to home.

if any one that has a store, brick and mortar or e commerce and can share some info it would be appreciated. promise i'm not trying to steal any ones business
