The NJOY King. The newest disposable making waves and flying off the
shelf. With an ad campaign calling out traditional cigarettes saying
they have "met their match" and the catchy little jingle (feels like the
first time)...sorry it gets stuck in my head. My first e cig was an
Njoy. I paid about 80$ for a starter kit and that experience left a bad
taste in my mouth.....literally. So Im a bit bias against them. That and
I know countless people that have bought an electronic cigarette at a
gas station only to throw it out thinking that all e cigs suck. So lets
see if the Njoy King can live up to its own hype,

Below are 2 review styles

Full: Detailed and technical tear down (see below)

Basic: The short sweet truth (scroll to Bottom)

First puff. WOW....wow.......give me a sec.......WOW. This is the
most realistic "cigarette" taste Ive vaped. It is most similar to a
camel light. I like tobacco flavors but I quit trying to find something
like this a long time ago. After you quit your taste buds seem to come
back to life and the taste isnt appealing any more. But right now, this
is amazing. Im going to puff on it for a couple hours and test it out.

Look and Feel. The Njoy King comes in a nice little flip top box.
It comes with a little flyer in the middle with some information about
the product and the recycling program (Ill cover it later) The top flips
like a zippo lighter and over all its a nice way to carry it around.
The cigarette its self has an amazing feel, its like holding a real
cigarette. The King is a half inch shorter that a standard electronic
cigarette and is covered in a paper wrap over the plastic tubed so it
feels more realistic. The tip has a clear plastic wrap over it to keep
it from getting wet in your mouth. The tip looks like a burnt cigarette
and glows red to simulate smoking.

Performance. The Njoy King is supposed to last as long as 2
packs....LIE. I used to smoke a pack a day, now I vape about 5ml a day.
Thats 5 standard cartridges. 1 hour and 45 minutes, thats it, and the
battery died.I have never been so impressed and so disappointed with an e
cig. I will admit that the battery inside is about 35% smaller than a
standard 808 (Blog, V2, Volt) electronic cigarette battery. The atomizer
is a woven tube with a silica wick through the middle wrapped in a soft
cotton like material. When I unwraped the wick it was almost dry again
almost 35% smaller that a standard 808 or 510 (Blu, Volcano) So while
they claim 2 packs (does vary depending on use) I cant see any way its
capable of living up to half of its claim

Overall/Basic Review

The Njoy King is one of the most realistic cigarette like electronic
cigarettes I have ever tried. It feels like a cigarette because of its
smaller size and paper coating that again makes it feel like a real
paper cigarette. It hits like a cigarette with a smooth throat kick
nearly identical to a cigarette. It taste like a cigarette, mostly like a
camel light. But I have never been more excited and disappointed with
an electronic cigarette

The MAJOR problem is that the size of the battery and atomizer cannot
support more than a couple hours. At 8$ a piece and less than a 2 hour
battery life it can never touch the 2 pack life claim. They do have a
recycling program(click here) but it takes 8 used Kings to get 1 for free. They also have a free trial you can order for 2.99 shipping

Pros:

Great taste, really does taste like a real cigarette

The paper texture even feels like a real cigarette

The throat hit isnt harsh, and again, like a real cigarette

They sell them every where it seems

Cons:

IT ONLY LAST A COUPLE HOURS

8$ a piece is two pack price around here

Buy 8 get 1 free?

Did I mention it only lasts a couple hours

So there you have it. Amazing product, for a little while. Thanks for
reading and click the picture below if you want to get a free sample for
your self

They are making some of those types way better these days.If they would be a little more honest about how long they will last and get the price down to reflect that they would start getting a little better reputation. The Henley was like that as well.

+10 McQuinn

Thanks for the review OP. Like McQuinn said, it's nice to hear they're finally improving, but it sucks they still have a ways to go to catch up with the Volts and other better delivery systems.

Why oh why do they lie about the amount of puffs in those? Stupid marketers.

Great review! I really enjoyed your presentation.

It's pretty cool to hear that they're making the battery tube out of plastic now. I know that for me, the main drawback to the metal convenience store brands was that I couldn't hold them between my teeth comfortably. Maybe the light weight of this next incarnation of e cigs will provide a better experience for first-time vapers.

I bought one yesterday...the menthol....i found it had zero throat kick and lacked anything close to a Newport or Marlboro green. The only thing i did like about it was the weight....so light it felt like holding a cigarette.

Njoy was the fist thing I went to after quitting cigg, cigars, and pipes. I went thru about 6 or 7 of them and noticed they were getting expensive. I also noticed they tore my throat up all over again. Rough. and at 4% nic it was a real rush. Too much as they were just gonna put me back on cigars.

I then ordered the Halo G6. I now am sure I never have to go back to ashes and burns and early death. I still have an Njoy and will probably give it to someone wanting to try quitting. It was good for that to be sure.

If 10 pack of these were around $5 they might be worth it. At $6.99 each with about a 2-3 hour life span they could get quite expensive. I have known people to quit using them as a "cold turkey" aid but they are not feasible at all as a regular vape.

I couldn't afford to Vape at the rate I do if I had to buy those things. But I guess they are a starting point for people to learn and break into it. That's the way it was for me anyway.

The NJoy King is the one to buy for emergencies, or to give out for others to try. It's not too bad, gets the highest reviews of the disposables.

With that said, AG just did a review of the new Marlborough rechargeable one MarkTen.

Summary. Save your money. Buy the Njoy King until you can pick up a proper kit (like the ego with T3 or something, dear lurkers).

Oh, man, Marlboro has one out now too? What's gonna happen to this industry if MORE Big Tobacco gets involved?

Eventually they will own the entire industry if they decide thats what they want. We have the best lawmakers money can buy here in the US.

I agree

I bought 20 NJOY Kings over the past 6mo. For emergencies and because I like them (not for the battery life or flavor but for the uncanny feel and weight). But after seeing the MarkTen review, I'd rather buy the MarkTen as an emergency e-cig. The NJOY King barely has flavor too or short battery life, but at least you can recharge it though. But for now i'll stick with my ego-c twist and Kanger EVOD with Johnson Creek Rainier and Merango.

But i don't think Big Tobacco will take over the industry, they might just buy everybody out like RJ Renoylds did with Natural American Spirit cigarettes. They'll buy them and it'll be business as usual, nothing will really change - just owners. What we ought to be thinking about is the upcoming FDA regulations. Hope that they won't regulate everyone out of business and/or raise prices, or worse regulate everyone out of business to leave only BT to afford the industry. Thanks for listening :-)

Excellent review, Atari......thanks for the heads up. Sounds like it would take $25 to $40 a day to afford those.

I started out with the cheap N Joy chargeable one with replaceable "filters" It was like trying to suck yogurt through a straw. Very unsatisfying almost made me think vapor was bull... Then someone told me I had to get the kind that held different liquids, was refillable etc. I figured all those users couldn't all be wrong so I got a EVOD, it has a slot for viewing the amount you have left, but is not clear like the ones that show the dark liquid inside and look nasty IMO. The clear ones I see make me think how gross, cover that up it looks bad.. It holds a charge for me for a few days, depending on use. It is so much cheaper than cigs, after the $30 initial investment.

I have been going down in % after initially going up to the strongest.. Planning on making my own and trying essential oils. I got extra wicks just I case a ruin mine. If this works I will have to get another stick so I can have a hit of nicotine when I want it without changing liquid. I will get another EVOD if I can find it, I love the one I have, and even tho the color is wearing off, why switch when you couldn't be happier with what you have.
