elem187
I think either mine is defective or is this the way its supposed to be? Did I buy from the wrong vendor? My pocket system takes 2 hours and 10 minutes to charge my 510 battery.... (yes i timed it)... .sucks when you burn through a battery in under an hour. I'll buy a different kit for the majority of my vaping... but it would be nice to have a pocket charger that does near the same of a wall charger... maybe I'm expecting too much? (sorry for the ramble, popping down beers + vaping) Edited October 16, 2009 by elem187
VegasVapor
I've actually never timed mine, but the battery that's charging is always good to go when I need to switch batteries. My batteries last longer than an hour when I'm vaping though. Where did you buy your PCC from?
Christopher
I haven't used my PPC in a while but normally I'll charge one battery while I'm using another then switch it out. That's just the way it is with the Joye510, the thing is you get great amounts of Vapor from such a little unit, but in return you have to accept the crappy battery life. If you want something with long battery life your going to have to switch over to something like the Janty Stick or the VP units.

(sorry for the ramble, popping down beers + vaping) I purchased a Titan 510 and a PCC from Totally Wicked, I ended up giving it to one of my employees that wanted to try an e-Cig. I used the PCC for several days before I decided that I didn't like the 510. It took about three hours to charge the PCC and then two hours to charge a battery in the PCC, I could get about three batteries to charge in the PCC before it needed to be recharged. When I first had the PCC, I was confused about the lights on the front of the unit and what they indicated. The manual was not real clear as to what their function and meaning was. I thought that I might have a defective unit so I emailed Totally Wicked about the issue. They sent me a reply that said that they had had a lot of problems with the PCC and I could return it for exchange. By the time they replied to my initial question I had figured out the unit and it was working correctly so I didn't return it. My point here is your PCC seems to be working as mine was and I think that is the most that you'll get out of it. Also, there was or is an issue with some PCCs out there according the the email I received from Totally Wicked. I would like to share a point of my experience with you. I am, by far, no expert when it comes to e-Cigs. But I have spent quite a lot of money on them and this is my current position concerning all of the peripherals. Get a VP unit and abandon the pass-throughs and extra batteries. I have a VP2, I can vape on it for 8-9 hours before I have to change the battery. When I leave the house in the morning I have my VP2 with an 801 atty attached, I carry the small case that came with it for batteries. In that case I put an extra 801 atty, an extra battery (just in case) and a 3ml bottle of e-Juice that I will vape that day. That's it, no car chargers, no pass throughs no PCCs and certainly not 14 batteries to get me thru the work day. Simple! If you think that the VP2 is too big then look at the VP1, the batteries in that unit are supposed to last 4-5 hours and if it is on par with the VP2, it would also be an excellent unit. Huffy
I bought a PCC when I got my 510. I've used it once (I guess it worked okay, but I never noticed how long it took to charge the battery). It's easier for me to just charge a couple extra batteries and carry them with me. They take up no more space than a pen in my pocket. I don't vape much at work, just at lunch time, so it's not really an issue for me to make it through the day without needing to recharge anything. But what I did this past week was order another 510 kit that came with a charger (the kind you plug in the wall). I got the $35 "no box" Joye 510 kit from cignot (2 complete 510's in the kit). For less than the cost of two batteries and two atomizers, you get those plus 5 prefill carts and a charger. So, now I have a charger at work and one at home and it's no big deal to have fresh batteries ready at all times. (Not sure what I'm going to do next summer, though, when I go camping and there's no place to plug in a charger....fingers crossed for a solar powered charger by 2010!) That's not going to happen unless your prepared to carry a 4'X 2' solar panel with you on a camping trip. Coleman makes a small 1150 watt camp generator and so does Honda or you could just keep them charging in the car or on the ATV. It wouldn't take much to add a charger to your ATV if it's 12 volts. and not 6 like some of the older ones.
