Ok, so I put in some 100% VG juice into my CE4 Clearomizer and it was going great. Probably went through 6.4 ml of juice and then it started to taste burnt. Also, looked kinda gummed up where the wick went into the center part. I don't have the rebuildable versions. Well, in order to attempt to clean it, I poured out the juice that was in it, let it drain for a while and then flushed it with some vodka. I rinced and repeated this a few times, then let it soak for a couple hours then poured it out and let it dry for a few more. I filed it back up with some 50/50 PG/VG and am using it again without any gummed up wicks or burnt taste. I have a few questions.

1. Is this the best way to clean these tanks?

2. Is this a known issue with 100% VG juices?

3. Is there a better tank for for 100% VG juice?

4. Should I stick with PG/VG mixes instead?

Thanks in advance.

Personally in my experience 100% vg doesn't do very well in many units. I'm not saying it can't do well but the bulk of the times I've seen it hasn't. I stick to a 50/50 mix with perfect results. As far as cleaning I've only stuck with hot water so I'm sure vodka would be better. No idea honestly though. :D

Have to agree with mse! Pure VG liquids are just so thick, it's hard to get a cartomizer/wick saturated enough to have a clean vape.

What about cutting the VG I have now with some vodka to thin it down?

Ummm isn't vodka very flammable? I personally wouldn't suggest it as the alcohol would also likely separate from the VG thus soaking the wick if left overnight. That first puff would wake yer *** up quick though if it ignited... LOL

I clean my RBA tanks with Vodka all the time. Just syringe it in, swish, syringe it out, repeat with clean shot. Vodka dries fast, evaporates nicely, plus is a nice sanitizer to boot.
