Do I Ask To Many Questions Or Does Everyone Just Feel I Know Specific Things.

Recommended Posts

I was just wanting to know as it seems my posts are usually just sitting there for awhile with no reply for a day sometimes less. But anyways just to stay in general e cig discussion topic. I was wanting to know about how much volts I can use for my 1.5 OHM dual coil tank cartomizer made by smok tech as well as these in the new tank I should get on monday: http://www.free-cigs...zer-_p_109.html and it has these heads:

One 1.8ohm (Low Resistance) replaceable Coil Head

One 2.4ohm (Standard Resistance) replaceable Coil Head

One 2.8ohm (High Resistance) replaceable Coil Head So if I could get amount of voltage I can use on them as well I would greatly appreciate it. Also I would like to know if anyone has used these before and what they think about them. Did I make a good buy?

In the title I mean should know not just know like it says.

When I saw this I just had to say something...

VaporTalk is the most accomodating forum you will find.<-Period! Unless you have blatantly lied about being a supplier or have spammed members of this forum, you will be accepted as who you are and your questions are always valid, even if you don't clearly state them. If you haven't gotten a response to your question, it's either that you didn't make it understandable or that the members just simply haven't had the time to figure out an answer. VaporTalk is the most helpfull forum and pleased to be that way, when they can, but remember, we're not all experts and some of us know less than others and don't want to give you bad information or advice. Your doing fine by asking questions, just don't expect immediate answers to all questions, we do what we can.

I sort of came out of retirement to make the statement above, I'm sorry that I can't help you with your question, but give it a few, and some one will help you, like Jeffb or his brother Mark....

No such thing as asking too many questions. Sometimes I wont answer because either Im too tired to write a response or I dont know the answer. Please keep asking questions. :)

I have not used those exact clearos but I have another with replaceable heads that works great. The one I have doesnt have a wick as long as those. I might try those out. I wouldnt use the 1.5 over 4 volts because the hit can get harsh above that for me personally. 1.5 ohm at 4 volts is about 10.6 watts of vaping power.

Ok, well I was thinking since it is a dual coil it would technically make it 3 ohms but I am not exactly sure. I have heard that it is suppose to be considered 1.5 per coil thus making it a total of 3 ohms. And is it at all possible to make a cartomizer break almost instantally from vaping it too high or will it just simply shut off a variable volt device that goes to 6? I am just wanting to make sure so I don't damage the battery or the cartomizers I will be using. Also this may sound like a stupid question but can you pop an atomizer without effecting the battery? Because I was planning on trying to do a high voltage dry burn to recover the atomizers I have and if they don't recover I was wanting to see what would happen if I just kept holding it on and see if it will actually pop.

Was it purposely or by accident? And is it a loud pop noise? Just curios as I haven't popped any attys as of yet. I think regular ego would probably not be sufficient enough to do so or am I wrong?

I am off to bed goodnight.

I used the DCT at 4.6V, but that's as high as my Provari would let me go before it shut down. LOL! The DCT has two 3.2 ohm coils making it 1.5ohm-1.5ohm total. I know that sounds backwards, but that's the way it is. It does put quite a strain on your battery. Not sure what device you're using, but many of them will shut down if you put to much load on the battery.

I haven't used that exact CE5 either, but the ones I have used work pretty good. I've found that a lot of the 1.8ohm coils tend to burn a little hot and usually end up with my twist turned all the way down. I wouldn't be to afraid of experimenting with different voltages if you have a variable volt device. Just turn it up a little at a time... you'll know from the burning taste if you're getting to high.

Back in the day (LOL!), before variable voltage devices, your only option for high voltage was to stack batteries or use a pass through. Stacking two 3V batteries, fresh off of charge, would give you about 6.4 volts. When 6 volts hits a regular 2.2ohm atty, sometimes they would just die instantly.

Thought we covered that one pretty well. You are in an area that is ruled by personal preference. The whole voltage resistance area can be quite confusing and requires trial and error to find your niche.I usually recomend for folks to keep it as simple as possible and just look for the perfect liquid. An Ego type battery with carto's or clearomisers is a pretty foolproof simple and effective rig for a small investment.
