The LM2596, you can pick them up on E-Bay.

Mad Vapes has a VV voltage chip kit that you can get for cheap also.

The nice thing about these is that all parts are included...no hunting!

If this is your 1st VV mod...I would recommend the MadVapes kit.

It is good practice.

oh, it's not about practice. I'm working on a batch of mods with RBAs built into them and I want power regulation ala variable wattage for them. I've just been having 0 luck getting any contact with evolv so I'm seeking alternatives.

Get ahold of the Vamo (VV/VW) manufacter, they seem to be good for ~4A in a stacked config. Probably less than ~$25 in bulk. Rip out the guts and have a ball.

The name escapes me at the moment, but there's a new chip out that modders are playing with. Mamu made a special mod for Russ of Clickbang.... The NIVEL CHIP!! ... that's it. I understand the 300 Hybrid will have it installed as well. It originated in Russia or Germany, I believe. It does both VV and VG, plus counts your puff or whatever else you want to program it for. It will probably be old hat by this time next year.
