Suzicube
So my Ego-t came with atomizers and cartridges which are just tubes with a little bit of batting stuffed inside. Can you just take out the batting and rinse it off and stuff it back in and use it? If you can, wouldn't it be cheaper to just buy the batting and continue to use the cartridges? Still not sure how all this works together.
Jeffb
You can take out the stuffing and rinse and re use it. Using the carts isnt a great juice delivery method. Most people just drip directly on the atty, take the stuffing out of the cart and vape away.
Suzicube
I thought I read I can't drip right on the atty that came with the ego-t kit. Do I need to buy one specifically for that purpose?
Jeffb
Does the atty look like this? or this?
Suzicube
The second one...it has a cartridge on it right?
Jeffb
Yes the cart is on it. You can drip on that kind of atty. Thats not the tank atty as is shown in the first pic.
Suzicube
Thanks Jeffb. That worked out great. I put about 4 drops and it vapes great. Now how often do you have to drip the liquid? do you also have to clean it after each use or when changing flavors? with water? Sorry for the stupid questions, pretty new still to this. kitsune
as the vapor begins to die off, add 2 more drops...vape and repeat. I usually get 4-6 draws off of 2 drops. More than 2 for me usually results in leaking. There is a bit of a learning curve with dripping, but once you get the hang of it, the flavors are amazing. When changing flavors, I just let the vapor die down and when its time to redrip, I just add the new flavor. first couple hits will be a blend of flavors, but after that you will get the new flavor. You can rinse them out with water and let dry over night. Over time the liquid gunks up the atty a bit. rinsing in hot water and letting sit over night to dry or using the corner of a paper towel or kleenex, push into open end of atty, let sit for a bit....removes excess liquid. can also do this when changing flavors if you don't want the flavors to be mixed. Tam
What Kitsune said. She's the lovely lady who got me through all the ups and downs of dripping until I'm now hooked on it. If you like dripping but don't like the mess (atomizers can leak like crazy), you can get drip shields. Those are a MUST when dripping imo. You're using an eGO battery, right? I just found out that not all drip shields are the same. If you're using eGO batteries, you might consider one of these: http://www.empiremod...uct_p/egodc.htm or this http://www.empiremod...p/emegodrip.htm They're specifically made for eGO batteries so you don't need an additional piece to make it fit. I didn't realize and bought two that don't fit right the first time. I really like the one in the first link. It's rather plain looking but has several air holes that make the vapor cooler instead of warm. Depends on whether you like cool or warm vapor. In order to cool it even more I use one of these http://www.empiremod..._p/chrryuni.htm a universal drip tip plus a regular drip tip. It makes the e-cig really long but the cooler vapor is worth it to me. Any drip tip is okay except those that are for 306s (they're longish so you'll see the difference right away).
