yeroc1982
I'm trying to decide what I want to buy from empire. Will the 901 drip shields work with 510&306 attys, providing I have the 510to510 adapter?
yeroc1982
I think I picked out the right stuff -510-510 Adapter (Sealed) -Empire 901 Drip Shields - Silver - Spiral -Empiremods Bridge Free LR306 1.5ohm Sealed -Delrin 306 XL Drip Tip Can someone let me know if this is correct? I have been using 510 attys but want to try the 306's. This will be used on my lavatube and twist.
blucavvy
everything you have looks correct. yes, the 901 drip shield will work for 510/901/306 atomizers. the reason you want the sealed connecter is so that the bottom o-ring of the drip shield to go under the threads of the atomizer so that it can recycle the juice back up into the atty. yeroc1982
Cool, just placed my order with them. Curious to see how the 306's are.
blucavvy
i never cared for them personally but others rave about them.
yeroc1982
Iv only tried 510 so far so I can't say much. How are the 901?
blucavvy
the 901's are great. honestly to me they seem the same as a 510 just with different threading, but maybe a touch better on the flavor side.

I thought the 901 and 510's were same threads.... man I got alot to learn still lol
Tam
Please correct me if I'm wrong but don't 901s need an adapter in order to use them on an eGO battery?
blucavvy
they do yes. let me break it down for ya. 901/808. same threading 510/306/eG0. same threading now, that does not mean that all of this will work with eachother. it just means the threading is the same. example, the eGo, although it has 510 threading it also has outside "cone" threading, so all eGo stuff doesn't necessarily work with 510 stuff and vice versa. MOST 901 stuff works with 808 stuff and vice versa. just research what you buy before you buy it so that you KNOW it will work together. the drip shield is kind of a genius thing, the reason being, even though the 901/808/510/etc.... have different threading, the DIAMETER of most of those atty's are the same so the drip shield is "in a sense" universal for all those atty's. it just slides right over them not caring about the threading the atty has. Tam
Good information, Blu. Thanks. I think I'm good with what I have right now. Probably won't be needing anything more for the next few... years. Well, in a few months I might need a few more atomizers for dripping but that's about it. I'm set for a bit.
