blucavvy Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 I need some help guys, I'd like to switch to all usa made stuff. I know higher end mechanical mods are manfd. Here, but I'd like to get away from china made stuff as much as possible. So hook me up with some links please :-)
Jeffb Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Kinda pricey but here is a USA made atty: http://www.innovapor.com/apex-alpha-electronic-cigarettes/parts-accessories/atomizers-drip-tips/standard-resistance-sr-atomizers/apex-vapor-standard-resistance-atomizer/
blucavvy Posted September 10, 2012 Author Posted September 10, 2012 I <3 jeffb, what about cartos? And pv's, I know the provari, buzz and ipro, silver bullet, etc.. Are american made, what do yall recommend?
Jeffb Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 The Provari is the best PV out there IMHO. cartos? do people still use those
mcquinn Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 I still use cartos, the Clearomisers were about the same cost but had too many issues to go all in.

Uma Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Precise+ from superTmanufacturing.com in all sizes, is unbeatable in performance and craftsmanship. Soon the Strata atty will be released by them as well. The Strata is completely unique, a game changer! There will also be a hybrid P+Strata for those who like all in one, and then he will release the universal Strata for those with any pv
blucavvy Posted September 10, 2012 Author Posted September 10, 2012 any idea when that will be available uma? I'll switch over to dd'ing if I have to, but is there any other setup I can look into (delivery system) that's usa made, since cartos seem to b out of the question.
Uma Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 He expects it to be released between now and Christmas, so keep an eye out on it! Strata American made? There's lots of them out there! ReosMods.com for one. Awesome bottom feeder, and when married to the Chalise or ERA or soon BFDID, it's unbeatable. (bottom fed atties). Rob, at Reosmods has been working on one too, so it shouldn't be long before his hits the market. (but he seems happy with the Chalise for now, so it might get put on the back burner). The Chalise, ERA and BF-DID are out of country. American made. The Zenesis and all of it's offsprings. The Zenesis attys too. These should be showing up in stores soon. (some have, but they sell out first minute so far, of course). Z-atty-U for any 510. Z-atty-P for Provari ... Z-atty-G for GG's.... Nice attys!!! The hybrids themselves are made from topnotch materials such as surgical stainless steel, titanium, etc..
Uma Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 I haven't kept track of where the creators are located, but some of the Rebuildable Attys to research on are: Hellfire (hehehe, good luck getting one! They're *the* prize catch) Cobra Bliss Aviss Sperhoid (I can never ever spell it right, but it's the best one for tobacco flavors) DID is in Italy Iatty is Italy
blucavvy Posted September 10, 2012 Author Posted September 10, 2012 awesome uma thanks so much for all the help! questions. Can I use the atty jeff posted in a reo? Or is a bottom fed atty specific? and how does a bottomfeeder work? Does it provide juice to itself or is it just like an easier way to drip? Uma 1
blucavvy Posted September 10, 2012 Author Posted September 10, 2012 http://thermovape.com/collections/thermovape-e-liquid-vaporizer-accessories-parts not a bad selection
Uma Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 awesome uma thanks so much for all the help! questions. Can I use the atty jeff posted in a reo? Or is a bottom fed atty specific? and how does a bottomfeeder work? Does it provide juice to itself or is it just like an easier way to drip? Yep. With regular attys, like the joye 510's, Cisco 306's, Ava, etc... you squeeze the bottle, the juice goes up a tube, and then wets the atty. (bridgeless attys work best). It takes a lot of practice to squeeze just the right amount at the right time. They call the squeezing a squonk. A blind squonk works for all mods on all kinds of attys, but is especially helpful with the bottom feeders. The Blind squonk consists of taking a gentle no-power hit, to wet the atty. Once the atty is moist, then hit your power button and fire er up. Bottom fed attys are easier, but regular attys work well too, once the learning curves are mastered.
blucavvy Posted September 25, 2012 Author Posted September 25, 2012 Well thanks to Jeffb and jdog i am now the proud owner of two american made pv's- a silver bullet and a mini provari. Mod batteries and chargers are not manufactured here in the states at all, so for that at least i'm out of luck. I can live with that. I own 2 empiremods drip shields and a few of their drip tips all manufactured here in the states. I use pretty much exclusively TVR juice which is sourced and mixed here in the states. And i'm going to get either the AVA atty or a hh357. atty soon. The AVA is 100% sourced and manufactured here in the states but comes with a hefty price tag-$40. The hh357. is assembled in the states but the parts are most likely 100% manufactured overseas. So other than the batteries everything's now made in America about my vaping. i'm a happy guy. now i just need to go order an AVA Uma 1
blucavvy Posted October 3, 2012 Author Posted October 3, 2012 Ok, well i've done a TON of reading up on the AVA atomizer manufactured by thermovape and sold at various online vendors. After all the research i've done i'm absolutely sold on trying one. Sadly i leave for Basic Combat Training on Monday so i'm not going to bother ordering one anytime soon. I finish with all of my training in April of next year so that'll be when i order one (unless X-mas is good to me ). It seems the AVA has gone through a few different "gens" if you will. Gen 1 had only 2 holes so the draw was somewhat tight and it was a rather finicky atty on how much juice it wanted to have without leaking etc... It also had an odd shape that meant drip shields couldn't be used with it. So, after the initial craze was over some things were clear. A.) People reported it was hands down the best dripping atomizer they had tried (most anyway), flavor is said to be second to none on these atomizers. B.) They wanted the design to be improved lol. Draw was too tight with 2 airholes, it needed to have a better wicking system as the it could only take 2 or 3 drops max without leaking and since you couldn't use a drip shield this needed to be taken care of. So, thermovape took this all into consideration and released a new gen of these beasts. It's now the same shape and size as a standard joye 510 so use of a drip shield is possible. They put in 4 air holes so draw loosened up plenty. And for all the customers who had bought the first gen and weren't satisfied they were sent new replacements. (that's awesome customer service.) The AVA also comes with a 3 month warranty. So at least when you spend the $40 on one of these you know you'll get at least a solid 3 months out of one, even though most users have been reporting these last for months without any signs of slowing down. So, yeah. I'm excited to try one. You all will have to listen to my endless rants for a few more days then you get about a 6month break! But then you can wait impatiently for my review of the AVA Uma 1
Jeffb Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 I would wager that by the time you get out of basic training there will be something else thats new and exciting in the e-cig world.
blucavvy Posted October 3, 2012 Author Posted October 3, 2012 oh for sure. but, other than rebuildable atty's made in the u.s. (which i'm not quite sure i'm ready to jump into) i don't know that there will be much else in the way of delivery systems made in the u.s. there's something different out of China every other week.
