Mike Posted July 25, 2012 Share Posted July 25, 2012 I had good and bad luck with the first 2 generations of Vision clearos but the first rebuildable one I got from Sweet-Vapes is working stellar. I'm using a 3.2 ohm coil and I have lr 1.8 replacement coils. I won't get to the lr coils until I'm done with the 3.2 ohm one and I'm liking it a lot. I also picked up a 1000mah twist c because I destroyed my 650mah twist c at work again(I'm definately making a special holster for it this time). The vape quality is great and it works well at any twist c setting. At 3.2 volts it is a little week for me and at 4.8 it is a bit much but the flavor is good and the vapor is cool at either end. Big clouds of vapor, especially when I turn it up and the flavor doesn't take a hit. I'm vaping DIY bavarian cream(lorann's 20%) and a drop of sweetener 70/30 pg/vg at 18mg/ml and I can't believe the flavor punch. I wonder how long this will last and how the lr coils perform but I'm gonna enjoy this while I can. Uma 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Mike Posted August 2, 2012 Author Share Posted August 2, 2012 Here's my take on the replacement coils: They come in a few different resistances, 1.8, 2.4, 2.8, 3.2, and 4.0 ohms. A week later and the 3.2 ohm one I started with is still working great. I've come to find that using it at 4.8 v is not too much for me but that's as high as I would go with that one. As for the 1.8 ohmes one, I set either my twist c or my ProVari at 3.2 and It works great at that voltage. For a regular eGo I would suggest either the 1.8 or 2.4 ohmes. For kgo or other 3.7v - 4v batteries I would suggest 2.4 or 2.8 ohms. For 5v or 6v mods you would probably would want to use 4.o ohms. If you have a variable volt mod or twist c any of these will work for you. The lower the resistance the warmer the vapor and increased vapor production just don't over do it! If I had a true 3.7v device I think the 1.8ohm one might be too warm for me, just like if I had a true 5.v mod the 3.2 ohm one would be pushing it also. Boostedrex Posted August 13, 2012 Share Posted August 13, 2012 I have the exact same setup as Rixter. Been using the rebuildable Vision's with 2.4ohm atomizer heads for the past 4-5 weeks. Only had to replace 1 head in 5 weeks. Not too bad IMHO. I set my eGo-C twist at 4.2 with Spanish Gold and Cararmel 18mg 50/50 mix from Sweet-Vapes and it's perfect for me. Has anyone seen/tried the T2 rebuildable clearomizer that altsmoke.com is offering? I'm curious to see how they compare to the Vision models. danpio1217 Posted August 14, 2012 Share Posted August 14, 2012 I'd really like to try one of these as my V2 Vision's have started leaking terribly. I've checked the positioning of the rubber peice and it tried pushing it down as i've read that helps, to no avail. They work fine for 2 or 3 drags but then start to gurgle, leaving a pool of ejuice in my battery connection. Wipe everything down and it works fine it's just a major PITA and a waste of good juice. Boostedrex Posted August 28, 2012 Share Posted August 28, 2012 I've had some issues with my rebuildable Visions leaking from the bottom as well. From the connection point between the tube and the metal base is where I'm having issues. I have to take it apart, clean everything with alcohol and allow it to dry, then refill. That fixes it for a few days, but then I have to repeat the process. Not very happy with that. I'm about 2 weeks in on using the T2 rebuildable clearomizers from altsmoke. So far I really ilke them. They hold more juice and have less resistance on the pull. The only issue is that they seem to prefer the standard eGo C battery vs. the eGo C Twist. It's almost as if the wick can't keep up. But if I cover 1 of the 2 air inlet holes during a drag it helps a lot. ZERO leaks, lots of vapor, and great flavor with the Sweet-Vapes juice I'm using. I like the T2 a little better and I'm glad I ordered the 2.2 ohm coils for it. They work great with the twist c. The V3 is a little more involved having a base that screws off (kind of gives me flashbacks of eGo C tank/coil setup) but it does work well for the most part. The other positive for the T2 over the Vision V3 is that my non Sweet-Vapes juices don't seem to get sludgy in the T2. Sweet-Vapes juices just don't seem to sludge up at all, so that's a non-issue. But with other brand juices in the Vision V3 they will sludge up around .6mL out of a 1.6mL fill. I hate having to dump out juice because of that fact. The only thing I can think is that the liquid is exposed to prolonged heat from the atty head in the clearomizer and it starts to thicken it almost like it's reducing. (It may be just me, but I wanted to put it out there) The T2 clearomizers seem to only work well with standard eGo T and eGo C batteries. When paired with an eGo twist (VV) they get harsh almost like the wicks can't keep up with the demand. The Vision clearomizers don't have this issue. Mike Posted November 6, 2012 Author Share Posted November 6, 2012 I use 2.2ohm coils with the T2 on the twist battery with no issues. I keep the voltage low, at 4v or less. Any more and it gets harsh and looses flavor. I don't think it has anything to do with the air coming in. Actually, I like the easy draw much better than the tighter one on the Vision. One problem I've had with both the V3 and the T2 is separation at either end of the glass. More so with the T2 but the newest one I have is new and improved and this hasn't happened yet and I've been using it for weeks. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
