New To Vaping, Help With Throat Hit?

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone, I'm new to all this so please excuse my lack of knowledge.

I've only been vaping for a short while and currently own a Riva 510 starter kit. I'm in the process of upgrading to an Ego Twist pretty soon.

Anyway, I'm close to ordering my own supplies to cut my own liquid but I'm curious about the throat hit, I pretty much don't want any (or close to none) throat hit at all. I'm going to get pure VG to help with that, but other than the VG, what else can I do to minimize that? The nic I will be getting is 24mg and I will probably dilute it down to about 18 or so.

Any info is greatly appreciated and I thank you in advance.

I would just go with the lower nic,The VG /PG thing is over rated in my opinion.Higher VG makes more vapor and thicker liquid that doesn't soak in or wick as well as a mix.Don' inhale straight to your lungs but rather get a mouthfull of vapor then inhale .It is a learning curve.Enjoy.

High vg blends definitely helped me with this (I dont like throat hit much at all) as well as smaller hits and holding it in my mouth as opposed to inhaling directly to the lungs.

Comparatively, I guess I puff my e-cig more in the way people use cigars than like smoking a regular cig.

If you want to dilute 24mg to 18mg just add 1/3 of vg.

example:

30ml. of 24mg

+

10ml of vg

=40ml of 18mg

You need to realize that you're also diluting the flavor by doing this and if the juice is too thick in the end it won't work well in certain cartos, etc. but if you start out with a thin pg juice with extra flavor shot this will work well.
