willmon22 Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 I have tested the voltage on the joye ego and mistic batteries I have. The ego read at 3.5 and the mistic read at 3.9 both of them aren't fully charged either. I guess I either have a defective multimeter or I am just not selecting the right option which is DCV 20
mcquinn Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 Depends on which spec you use.The stated voltage of a lithium ion cell is 3.6 volts, you can measure up to 4 volts on a freshly charged one but you are not measuring the voltage under load. That would be closer to the 3.6 volts on about all of them.Gets real confusing so I don't dwell much on all that.As long as you get a reasonable amount of usable vaping time from them it is all good.
