KMGirl Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 (From Wikipedia) "Studies conducted in 1942 by Dr. Oswald Hope Robertson of University of Chicago’s Billings Hospital showed vaporized propylene glycol inhalation in laboratory mice may prevent pneumonia, influenza, and other respiratory diseases. Additional studies in monkeys and other animals were undertaken to determine longterm effects, especially the potential for accumulation in the lungs. After a few months of treatment, no ill effects were discovered.[17]" (From Time Magazine http://tinyurl.com/mvwnr4 ) "Dr. Robertson placed groups of mice in a chamber and sprayed its air first with propylene glycol, then with influenza virus. All the mice lived. Then he sprayed the chamber with virus alone. All the mice died."

TheSmokingMan Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 Wouldn't it be hilarious if a direct connection was found with e-Cig vapers and those who don't get upper respiratory infections or Swine Flu. The medical community would soil itself if e-Cigs cut them out of money like it is the tobacco companies.

E-cigs are a direct competition to their NRTs and drug therapies, nicorette, welbutrin, etc.
doglips Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 WOW now I can say I'm not vaping I'm taking my swine flu treatment
Christopher Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 Actually we talked about this quite a long time ago. Some people over on ECF have noticed they haven't been getting the flu this year. Check this out, my wife had the flu, my sister, my mom and my dad along with a whole bunch of people at work. Guess who didn't get the flu? Me. I slept with my wife while she was sick and I was fine. Just vaping away. Could have been coincidence who knows.

Well once I get my 801 anyway.
