danpio1217
Ok so i've had my ego-c for 2 weeks now and things are going good. Tank system is kinda whack but it's nice to have as a fallback. Only 1 analog in that timeframe and that was when i was hangin at my bros house and he smokes indoors which makes it pretty difficult. Good news is i didn't even finish it cuz it tasted gross and the flavor of direct dripping is just soooooo much better. I just get fooled b/c i LOVE the smell of an analog being smoked, just not the smell of it after. Anyways, i've been mostly direct dripping so far but need something better for on the go. Just got my Boge cartos the other day, 3 normal res and 3 LR. I've been going back & forth between the normal and LR and they both have the same juice in them. Call me crazy but i notice little to no difference in the flavor, TH, and vapor production between the two. I thought LR attys were supposed to be pretty noticeable w/ better TH and vapor? If anything i'd almost say i like the normal res better. Has anyone had a similar experience or can anyone touch on why i may be experiencing the reverse of the general consensus? Just thought it was weird. Been using my ego 650mah batteries and my 1000mah passthrough so i think i'm always at 3.3 volts. Thanks in advance! twelveday
you should notice warmer/more vapor with the low res ones.
Jeffb
Did you test them with a multimeter to verify they are actually LR?
blucavvy
everyone like's different things, everyone has different sweet spots. general rule of thumb for warmer, thicker vapor with a slightly better throat hit is low ohm carto/atty's with low voltage devices higher ohm carto/atty's with higher voltage devices if you haven't tested them like Jeff pointed out sometimes lr carto's/atty's aren't exactly what they're rated for, so a 2.0ohm carto might actually be 2.4ohm's whereas a sr carto might be 2.6ohm's, which isn't a very noticeable difference. danpio1217
No i haven't tested them. Where can I pick up a multimeter? Is that something generic i could pick up at Lowe's or would i have to find one online? I suppose that would be the 1st step. I also think I did the initial fill wrong as I just dripped liquid in from the top and i'm noticing that they're drying up pretty quick. I'll probably try PBusardos condom fill method next to see if really saturating all the filler from the bottom makes any difference. I notice the vapor is warmer but i don't notice any difference in TH or amount of vapor. Both are still good and all, but if it doesn't make much of a difference for me i don't want to keep buying the LR to preserve battery life. blucavvy
whatever fill method you use just give the carto a few minutes after the initial fill to make sure all the polyfill is soaked. if it's not you'll get the burnt taste. and make sure your'e putting in the proper amount of liquid. a standard 1ml carto i usually put a minimum of 20 drops in, let it sit for ten minutes and check the polyfill, if it's retaining a "moist" look and the color of the liquid is still in the polyfill it's good to vape, if it's bone white after soaking add more. if you use that condom method make sure you wipe the batter connection clean, and blow through the center tube as the condom method can kill an auto battery in a heartbeat if you don't take those precautions. danpio1217
Yeah i didn't put nearly that much liquid in and didn't wait that long to start vaping it. No wonder it's drying out so fast. Gonna play around w/ them when i get off work and try all that. Still getting good taste and vapor from both the normal res and LR tho, so I'm excited about these in general. Looks to be a solid on the go option. Thanks!

Soberrider
I use regular resistance on my 5volt passthrough with good results but they aren't as good on my eGo Passthroughs. I like the LR on eGo's and use them well after the flavor starts lacking cause I don't have my new cartomizer cleaner system yet. I look forward to the cleaner I bought from Smoktek. So far I've mostly used the LR and eGo's and it is satisfying me. I have been craving tobacco more at the 2 month mark though. http://www.smoktek.com/CartomizerAtomizer-Cleaning-Kit--With-10ml-Control-Syringe-Luer-lock-compatible-wcleaning-tubes-and-instructions_p_107.html
JonHitThingWithRock
I usually put about 40 drops into a boge cartomizer, but i also use a spinner to force the liquid to the bottom. I adopted this method because i use a lot of high vg juice, but it works well for pg too.
bamsbbq
I keep a carto filled with my daiky vape wrapped up tightly in a piece of plastic wrap inside of a small baggy. I use the condom method. Fill a carto and let it sit over night. Sent from my SPH-M820-BST using Tapatalk
