twelveday Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 I've never heard of this until I saw it on the front page, running low batteries on mods are a bad idea? To run them dead I mean, I've always thought it was a good idea to do so so they charge better. I've never heard of this before being a hazard, anyone else got info? Should I start charging them when i start to see performance go low?
Mike Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 It would depend on the mod. The one I have(ProVari) is "smart" like that. It blinks slowly at first but lets you continue vape but it shuts itself down at a certain point. I can also tell you that Joye eGo batteries can be run dead or halfway or anywhere in between and charged whenever you feel like it with no ill effects. I've even left them on a charger for 2 days(by accident) and no explosion or decreased life. Well over 100 cycles and the button and ability to hold a charge is like the day it was purchased.
mcquinn Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 They have only so many recharge cycles so it makes more sense to run them until the low voltage cutoff shuts them down.
