jmhester
I play in a band on the side and we were down playing in Ybor City (kind of like Bourbon Street). There are lots of bums down there wandering around and pan handling. I was standing in the parking lot talking to my drummer and vaping on my Janty Stick. This bum comes up and ask for a cigarette. We both looked at him and said we didn't smoke. That felt so cool! I think that's the first time I ever said I didn't smoke in like 40 years! What a wonderful feeling! Anybody else had an experience like that?
VegasVapor
hahaha. Good stuff man. I haven't had an experience like that yet. Most people I run into seem to know what vaping is and they just ask me questions about it. What was the bum's reaction? I'm assuming he thought you were smoking if he saw the vapor. Vacker1229
Way Cool!! Actually i did have an experience like this also and it felt good to say I don't smoke!! But I found I wanted to explain vaping to whoever asks for a cig. I need to just say I don't smoke!
TheGreen
I did yesterday. I went to the DMV (last day to get my license plate sticker) and 2 guys were standing outside. I was vaping as I walked up and they asked me for a "light". I smiled and said "sorry I don't anymore". They looked at me in confusion then I explained what I was "smoking". It's amazing how many questions they had for me. Of course I always recommend vaportalk.com and awesomevapor.com. I hope one day I am standing outside the DMV asking someone for a charged battery or a spare atty...lol Chris, I hope you start to see more members for the Chicagoland area. jmhester
I have to say it was a cool experience. The bum didn't react to my vaping oddly enough. He just walked away quickly. I hate to say it but I'm a pretty scary looking guy (5'10" 225, MMA fighter) so they don't usually hang around. Plus, I figured I couldn't talk him in to switching over to an e-smoke! LOL! Yea its weird not having smokes and a lighter in my pocket. I remember the first couple weeks when i work up at the club DJ'ing, girls would come up to my booth asking for a light and id be like "Sure hold on" (Reaches in pocket) "Whoops sorry i forgot, i quit smoking!" Christopher
That is very cool and feels good! I get questions all the time, especially when people recognize Sean and I from the videos (which is a little weird) then it's all over. I know I'm not going anywhere until their questions are answered. I just want to get some milk damn it!

JMHester, post the guavaween event, I grew up in Tampa and subsecuently YBOR. I am in Orlando now but me and my highschool buds always make the trek to Tampa for Guavaween.
