Got A Neat Idea For A New Battery Mod

not so much a mod, but a casing for a mod. i just picked up a couple of 50 cal machine gun shells. they are about the size of a VP1-2.0 and twice as heavy. EXTREMELY tough and durable. it would be a great way to get a military fan base for e-cigs.

what would it take to mod/wire a bullet shell to be compatable with an atty.

i have no input at all on how to go about it... however, as a die-hard gun nut, i would definitely buy one if someone makes them. ;)

knowing enough about bullets though... once the bullet is removed from the shell/casing it should lighten it up a bit (since the bullet is either solid copper or copper jacketed lead), AND the bullet from a .50 BMG is about the diameter of an atty (my 510 looks to be about the size of a 9mm, and a .50 BMG is 13mm.... enough room for some kind of threaded insert/adapter).

here's the .50 BMG specs if anyone feels like giving this a go.

Bullet diameter.510 in (13.0 mm) (this would be removed)

Neck diameter.560 in (14.2 mm)

Shoulder diameter.741 in (18.8 mm)

Base diameter.804 in (20.4 mm)

Rim diameter.804 in (20.4 mm)

Case length3.91 in (99 mm) (length of part you'd be using. just the shell/casing)

Overall length5.45 in (138 mm)(this would change once bullet is removed and atty/cart is added)

perhaps the guy from vaporlife could engineer one for us. i know a place or two to score some shell casings.

Sure, as long as the O.D. is at least 0.5"

Also that it is already been fired, primer already hit

I could use that end for the end cap.

Send me one, and I will try to make it for you.
