Its been about 5 months and I've tried several ecigarettes and decided to do some short reviews on some to try to inform or help some new vapers. I started off small then started trying different kinds and am now using several different types of ecigs.

Stick Style:

Smoke 51 trio - I started off with this e-cigarette which came with one battery, a charger, and 5 pre filled cartridges. I bought it at a local smoke shop. Being new to the vaping world I didn't think much of it, I used it for about a week and it worked decent enough for me til my Joye 510 came in the mail. I bought 10 pre-filled cartridges to go along with the smoke 51 trio as well. Thinking back to it now the vapor was decent to start off with, but there was little to no throat hit at all which made me wonder if the nicotine content was as advertise (18mg). Cartridges would last only a few puffs, which ended up maybe from 2-3 cigarettes for each pre-filled cartridge. It was both a good and bad experience, the price total came out to be about 30$ which I can't complain about. At the time it was enough for me to get my foot in the door of vaping, but I think I would have went back to traditional cigarettes if I didn't continue the journey because the Smoke 51 Trio wasn't satisfying, and would have costed about the same if not more to feed my habit (alot more if I wasn't exposed to more information about vaping, ie e-liquid, cartomizers instead of cartridges, overpricing of mainstream market etc.)

Joye 510 - This was my second e-cig, I ordered the 2x manual battery kit, along with some e-liquid to pre-fill cartridges on my own. I was hesistant to go for a manual style battery with a button because I still wanted the feeling of smoking a cigarette without the awkwardness of having to push a button. I used these for about 2-3 weeks but then decided to order the eGo because the battery life on these weren't lasting me the day. I notice I tend to vape a bit and take more drags off my ecig when I took my breaks and the battery life on these weren't cutting it for me. Plus I still didn't like the manual on the stick style batteries.

510 Automatic Batteries (Madvapes) - I've settled on these for my short-term vaping (ie, taking a short drive to the store or going out for a few minutes), The automatic style battery is nice and I havent had a problem with them yet, been using for 2 months. The battery life isn't all that great but they work for what they are which is a small stick style cigarette-like battery, no button to press just inhale and it turns on, no accidental firing. Only thing is you have to take strong thorough drags to keep it firing, it tends to turn off prematurely if you don't follow through. Later on down the road i plan to pick up some 808 automatic batteries from smokeless image to replace these with, I just dont like the fact that I'm going to have to buy a bunch of new cartomizers just to work with them because most of everything I have now are 510 connections. If anyone knows of any good 510 automatic batteries let me know, I'd rather have a 510 auto stick style than an 808.

Mid:

Joye eGo 1100 Passthrough - Bought a detachable Joye eGo 1100 Passthrough for my computer and vaped this for a long, long time. This connects to your computer via USB cable and lets you vape continuously while also charging, but is also detachable so you can take it on the go. It has an end screwcap that you just put on to cover the USB connection. Its a little bit wider than the stick style batteries and is exactly the same height (with cone on) as a silver bullet (without an atomizer on it). This was my main go to vape for a long long time, and is still getting some use.

Joye eGo 650 - Vaportalk was having a christmas special on an eGo kit and I decided to pick it up, came iwth 2x 650mah eGo batteries and atomizers etc. the 650mah batteries are shorter than the 1100 passthrough, I keep them charged and take those out on the go sometimes rather than detaching my passthrough. Good ecig, same performance as my passthrough, but further on down the road I started to notice performance dropping. Don't get me wrong the Joye eGo is a fantastic product, but after research and using it for a while, I noticed that the vapor, heat, overall performance dropped the longer you used the batteries. Later on I find out that the voltage of the battery does not stay consistent throughout and drops lower the weaker the battery gets, which leads to a decline in performance. Also these are not true 3.7v devices. At this point I found what I liked and started using low resistance cartomizers, and the performance of the cartomizers just weren't consistent on my eGo batteries, unless I was using them on my passthrough.

Mods:

5V Boxmod (Madvapes) - This mod introduced me to high voltage vaping. The mod itself was 30$. The main thing I could tell was that it put out more power. You don't have to take long drags to get huge amounts of vapor, and the vapor is warm. If you do take long drags on this though, the flavor seems to burn and you tend to burn some filler if you use cartomizers. Higher voltage mods, depending on your setup, is a different type of vaping experience. Shorter drags, same amount of vapor, and much warmer vapor. I use my 5V Boxmod from time to time but I found out it wasn't for me, I like taking long drags on my ecig and with these I just wasn't able to without shortening the lifespan on my cartomizers, or having to direct drip more often than if i vaped on a 3.7 device.

Silver Bullet (Altsmoke) - After reading around I decided to get a Silver Bullet whcih is a 3.7v device. So far I love it. I use cartomizers, mainly boge 2.0s or smok tech 1.7 single coils, and the performance throughout is much more consistent than my eGos. It is a big mod, much bigger than the eGo. I was afraid of it being too large but it actually isnt, it fits in your hand perfectly. Most of my time is spent around the house anyways so I dont worry about having to take my SB out and about. I still use my 650 eGo's if I have to go out for a bit, but my Silver Bullet has become my main ecig for long periods of use. The batteries in these last a good 2-3 days before needing to recharge, which completely replaced my 1100 ego passthrough for at home use. I looked at many mods out there, and overall I think the Silver Bullet is a clean, well built mod that was worth the money to invest in. If you're looking for a good 3.7v mod and have the cash, I'd suggest buying one.

Current E-Cigarettes in use:

Daily Vape, Main - Silver Bullet

On the Go - 650mah eGo, 510 Automatic

If anyone knows of any good 510 Automatic Batteries let me know, otherwise im switching to smokelessimage 808's for my on the go batts in a month or two (id rather stay with 510 connection though since all my stuff are 510 atm)

Future Purchases (Thoughts):

3.7v Reo Mini - I was planning on buying this before my Silver Bullet, but the Reo Mini's cost is what swayed me towards the SB (140$ v 85$). I still plan on buying this in the future, as a more 'portable' and reliable 3.7v mod.

Smokelessimage Automatic Style Batteries - Plan on picking up some of these next as well to replace my generic 510 automatic stick styles.

i know it's not the revered Volt that everyone loves so much but i've been using 808's for quite some time now and i think you'd be much happier if you saved some money and just went with these guys

http://elitevaporworks.com/

they sell the same batteries as smokelessimage but for quite a bit cheaper. $8 for a battery is unbeatable. they're not the sealed type like the newer Volt's, but if your'e just using cartos (which is all you can use on a gen2 808 anyways) the sealed part won't matter. and their carto's are again the same horizontal style carto's but quite a bit cheaper. and you can get a pcc (the same one as smokelessimage for $10 cheaper) and usb charger for about 5 or 6 bucks. i know you don't really want to switch to 808's over 510's due to the threading difference and believe me i understand. however, i think that you will find that if you try a gen2 808 the performance is double that of a 510 stick battery. seriously, there's no comparison. you won't be disappointed, they're perfect for a "going out" style ecig.

just a thought anyway.

good reviews though, i enjoyed reading it. :)

i cant edit my first post but heres a picture of size comparisons

silverbullet is the big white one standing upright with white carto and black driptip, silver one laying sideways is the 1100 ego passthrough with cone+306 atomizer, left of that are 3 stick style batteries, white one is joye 510 with the black manual button, and the two to the right are the automatics from madvapes, above the passthrough are my 2x 650mah egos with a boge cartomizer on it, I misplaced my 5vboxmod but its about the size of your palm

yup, that exact same pcc is sold at Bloog, Smokelessimage, Nexcig (the 808 vendor that posts alot on this site), and at elitevaporworks. they have the cheapest price on it that i've seen, almost all the other vendors are $30.

ah ill be getting one of them soon, the pcc is pretty slick and compact. i did a search again and cant come up with any510 auto cigs, seems like all the good stick styles are 808s
