Soberrider Posted February 25, 2012 Share Posted February 25, 2012 I'm sure this has been asked several times here. Do I need to find strictly 3 ohm cartomizers for a 5 volt passthrough? blucavvy Posted February 25, 2012 Share Posted February 25, 2012 they ruin the taste because that voltage is too high for that ohm carto. higher voltage=higher ohm lower voltage=lower ohm you want something close to 3.0ohm, 2.8 would be fine but i wouldn't go much lower, you have to remember that their are variances in carto's, so even though the one's your'e using might be rated for 2.5ohm, they may actually measure out as low as 2.2ohm or as high as 2.8ohm on my 5volt passthru i never use anything lower than 2.8ohm, anything lower and the 5v just fries the juice.
