Tkato Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 Just ordered me a couple of eGo-Cs, been hoping to stop smoking the cigs (analogs?). Tried those sucky cheap e-cigs off a friend on Friday, I was like "Wow" after that I've been catching up on the industry (not as easy as it sounds) and decided it's time to join the forums . So, pleased to meet you, and perhaps you could kindly help me figure out a few things, How much does it cost you to maintain this habit? I'm not gonna fiddle with tastes, Im gonna stick with tobacco and that's it, but what parts degrade with time?, I heard the attys break down after a month. But the ego-c's atty has two parts, which one of them breaks often? Thank you for your help!
twelveday Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 (edited) ive spent a couple hundred, trying different hardware/mods/cartomizers/atomizers. Im only getting settled in right now, Juice+cartomizers+atomizers every month, for me id say its about 60-80$ worth of stuff every month to vape. Smoking costed me 200-250$ every month. Im not experienced with the eGo-C but i believe it should be the same as others, where you replace the atomizers more often than the other parts of it Edited February 21, 2012 by twelveday
blucavvy Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 the atomizer head on ur ego c will break down roughly over a month of steady use, the tanks...well I'll leave that one to jeffb. I spend maybe $40 a month on juice and cartos. As opposed to the $140 a month I did on cigs. welcome to the forum!
kitsune Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 Welcome !!! You will find vaping becomes a bit of a hobby for most of us. The 'habit' is really pretty cheap with vaping...liquid and parts 20-50$/month...if you only buy what you need. That being said....very few of us are able to stop at buying what we 'need'. I personally have 8 different devices I have collected over the last couple years....and that is small time. New toys is part of the fun !!! Liquids are a whole other matter...finding the right flavor is a challenge. flavor is very subjective. For me I like variety and am always trying new flavors.
Jeffb Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 I've had the eGo-C for a few months now. The first atty head lasted over a month. The second lasted 1 week and I've been on the third for a couple of weeks now. I have only changed the tank portion of the atty once.
Tkato Posted February 21, 2012 Author Posted February 21, 2012 Kitsune, I'm used to smoke hookah since the age of 12 (22 now) so flavored smoke is not something uncommon for me, I like it, but I need that old fashioned tobacco taste when I drink my whiskey I just need to find cheap liquid that resembles Camel analogs to help me climate to vaping and I'll be ok My goals are drastically cut analogs cost, and eventually give up analogs and vaping altogether, or vape nicotine free.. I presume that eventually I'll start making my own liquids to make sure there is no Nic involved in the process of brewing. And thanks for the warm welcome! Happy vaping
kitsune Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 There will be others that can give some tobacco recommendations. I haven't used tobacco flavors for a long time now. I love DIY. Been playing with it since I first started vaping a couple years ago.

Happy vaping A whiskey drinker...i like you already When asking for tobaccos i would normally send you to alien visions but i hear vg doesn't wick well in the tank system. If you want an analogish tobacco vape try www.vaporheads.net tobacco Europe vt3. Its incredible. Its a really rich tobacco vape with some chocolate and caramel undertones but its not sweet. It reminds me of Bali shag rolling tobacco. I got a 20mil bottle in 4 days ago and its near the end of its life lol...its on par with Bobas bounty which is considered by many(including myself)to be the ultimate tobacco vape. Also try www.thevaporroom.net ...solid tobacco juices. sent from my Ice Cream Sandwiched Gtablet
Mike Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 Welcome to the forum Tkato. For a cigarette-like flavor you might want to try: flu-cured tobacco, 555, hilton, or any other that describes it as such. There are stronger tobacco flavors like Turkish blend, french pipe, cuban, etc. All flavors may vary slightly(or drastically) from from different suppliers. Half the fun is trying different things because there is no end to it. You will want switch it up sometimes. And what you don't like now you might like down the road.
Tkato Posted February 21, 2012 Author Posted February 21, 2012 I picked the American tobacco from forever vapor as my free juice with the kit, hopefully it will satisfy me!, thanks for your replies you've been very generous with your answers!. And please forgive my horrible english Thanks!
Tkato Posted February 21, 2012 Author Posted February 21, 2012 Not from Illinois, Israel, and sadly it seems some of that juice shops are USA only :/.
