mjradik Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 So I got an email today from a china supplier asking me about selling the new ego-vv. Its a variable voltage ego. Don't know how I got on thier email list (well I do, but we won't go there).. but thought it was interesting... Chirs, have you seen this? Looks pretty kewl for basic VV.. 900 mah baterry – 1 to 2 days of continuous vaping. Variable Voltage Three Step LED Indicators: Default – Red LED Ring 3.2V Five Clicks - Purple LED Ring 3.7V Five clicks - Blue LED Ring 4.2V Low Battery Indicator – LED ring will flash Pass-through USB Charging Battery life varies depending on voltage output.
blucavvy Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 so far they seem to be getting mixed reviews. Some of them are still going strong but there have been more than a few battery failures already. it has a few drawbacks, one being that 900 mah is not a whole lot to support 4+v of vaping, it will run down the batt fairly quickly. The second is that it is NOT regulated so even though you can start it at 3.7 or 4.2 or whatever as the batt drains so does the voltage, and quite a bit from some comments I've seen on another forum. what's the pricing like?
bobthesalesclerk Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 I've heard from a few places they are kind of cheaply constructed. Never tried them though...this is just what I've heard. sent from my Ice Cream Sandwiched Gtablet
Jeffb Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 I would call that "selectable" voltage not a true VV. It doesnt appear to be a Joye product.
blucavvy Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 you know the more reviews i read on this thing the more people that seem to be happier with it, for a 20 dollar battery it's can't be all that bad, too bad it only goes to 4.2.....
mjradik Posted February 10, 2012 Author Posted February 10, 2012 well if I stick with my 1.7 resurrector, then 4.2 is all I need.... I might give it a try because I'm starting to dislike my lava tube... (see other posts)
