blucavvy
Just thought it would be a good idea to have a thread dedicated to the kr808 battery and it's vendors and products. If anyone has any questions please feel free to post here and i will do my best to answer them. I'm fairly knowledgeable when it comes to this particular ecig. I will try to bump this thread occasionally (without making it to annoying lol) so that any noobs that may have questions will see it. Just kind of wanted to give the kr808 it's own thread since it seems that most of this site is only geared towards the eGo or vv. Unless a mod feels like making this a sticky or sub forum somewhere......... Anywho, here's a list of vendors that i have personally used and have never heard of, or had any problems with. In fact nothing but good service from all these vendors. http://www.vapor4life.com/home.php http://smokelessimage.com/ http://bloogplanet.com/ -these guys just put out a new batt called the Trifecta, which can be used as a manual, auto, or passthru battery which in the world of kr808's is big. it's the first of it's kind, i've yet to try one out but hopefully will soon. http://www.v2cigshop.com/ -these guys may be a tad overpriced but none the less they're a good vendor http://www.cigeasy.com/Default.asp- these guys aren't technically an 808 vendor only, but they do carry what's called the "Elite 808" which is comparable to an eGo with 808 threading. Really nice product for the money. There are many others but these are the most well known, and dependable imho. As i said, if there are any questions please feel free to post away and i will be happy to help! Edited February 4, 2012 by blucavvy
blucavvy
Also, heres a link to the new 808 threaded eGo http://www.smoktek.com/808-eGo-Mega-Dual-Coil-900mAh-Pass-through--Complete-Kit_p_137.html%3Cbr%20/%3E%3Cbr%20/%3EI
highcountryvapor
I ordered a smokelessimage set up and I will get it tomorrow. I will post a report on how I like it.
blucavvy
i hope you like it as much as i liked the volt! the gen2 batt's are nice. plus smokelessimage has the sealed auto batt's which is pretty much a one of a kind so far in the industry for slim batts. which make's it great for dripping. if you do like to drip pick up some 901 atty's and your'e all set to drip on the 808. the other nice thing about that site is you can pick up some nice accesories like the diamond end caps, stealth end caps, and wraps for the batt's. mcquinn
My sister in law ended up with two boxes of Boge 302D/KR808 carto's and couldn't use them on her 510 .I took them off her hands as I had a 901/808 adapter and a few 901/808 mods. They were a very tight draw almost unusable. My fittings all had two air holes ,I drilled two more air holes and now they vape as I expected them to.Every bit as good as the Boge 510 carto's.I didn't realise how much different a tiny airhole can make. bobthesalesclerk
I'm thinking about picking up a kanger horizontal coil 808 pcc kit next week to try out. I have never used anything but a 510 and am interested. sent from my Ice Cream Sandwiched Samsung Fascinate

Had to have been a result of the 2 air holes. Everything I've ever used for 808s has 4 holes on the collar.

I have never used anything but a 510 and am interested. sent from my Ice Cream Sandwiched Samsung Fascinate u won't notice muchdifference between the 808s and ur 510s, maybe a bit better battery life but that's dependant on the batts you pick. Kanger is good for the basic 808 stuff, if ur looking for anything specialty go with one of the vendors I listed. Each one of them has its own perks. I just don't know that ur money is well spent on the kanger 808 stuff since its very basic and you already have several diff types of pv's one of the specialty 808s may be better suited for you. blucavvy
http://www.vapornine.com/ ^^^not sure how i forgot these guys, now i haven't tried this vendor yet but i'm ordering their "nebula" express kit today. the nice thing about this vendor is you can get a kr808 battery, 2 carto's, and a usb charger all for 8 bucks!!!! that's actually cheaper than you can find most disposable cigs for. they also sell 510 stuff and rebadged eGo's. the nebula line is their kr808 stuff and anybody interested in trying out kr808 stuff for cheap this is the cheapest you will find it, guaranteed lol. i'll place an order for the kit today and post results in a few days when i get it, i'm expecting it's just a very bare bones way of trying it out. nothin fancy. mcquinn
I use 14500 box mods with 801/302,901/808 and 510/306 fittings ,covers most atties/cartos.There was a time during Chinese New Year if you weren't well stocked with atties you were pretty much out of businesss for three months.Everyone would be sold out and when they started restocking people would hoard out of fear.It has not been so bad this year with all the new vendors and with carto's.I decided stock type batteries were not cost effective and I can build a box mod for under $8.00 . blucavvy
So far i'm loving the Vapornine Express Kit, the carto's suck but the hardware alone is being charged for twice as much on competitor's sites, so i'm very happy with it at the moment. GREAT 808 starter kit.
Viper Ron
I use these cartos on my Volt sealed batt and they work pretty well. Here is the link.......http://azsmokefree.com/inc/sdetail/13709/10495
blucavvy
http://bloogplanet.com/ they've got a good sale going on on their pcc's right now, fully compatible with your volt batts. don't know if you have one already or not but typically they're 30 bucks. i've also heard real good things about their carto's, so something to think about
Viper Ron
I have a eGo which is what I use most of the time but I bought a volt sealed batt and these cartos to have a cig look-a-like for partys and social events It is really hard the find a carto that looks like a cig filter! joe2003
So how long of a draw do these second gen. auto batts get? I have the Bloog MF and it's pretty good but the cutoff is only ~4-5 seconds and I would like a longer draw if I can get it. I've read that some have a longer draw but I don't know which ones. blucavvy
the second gen bats have a 5-7second cutoff timer whether auto or manual regardless of company as far as I'm aware. the gen 1 batts are a different story. V4l sells batts that range for cutoffs, most of their manuals are 10second cutoffs, their autos go anywhere from 12-20seconds. One of the biggest reasons I love v4l. word of caution though, gen 1 batts should NOT b charged on gen 2 chargers. Gen2 batts however can b charged on gen1 chargers. Also horizontal coil cartos should not b used on gen1 (v4l) batts, horizontal coil cartos should pretty much only b used on gen 2 batts, i.e. If you do get v4l batts I wouldn't recommend running bloog cartos on them as if I remember correctly those are horizontal coil cartos. joe2003
Thanks blu guess I'll stick with gen2 batts cause I prefer a consistant vape.thats why I like my Buzz Pro Vv. It's just that occassionally I want something a bit smaller. Just got a couple of SD keyring ecigs today to try out so far so good but the charging time is a PITA lol. Breal
I've never experienced a cutoff time. What is that? Are you saying that batteries stop working if you take too long a Vape/drag?

How's the vape quality? I heard its surprisingly good. And not a problem at all, u may want to try one of the v4l batts though, theyre the highest quality unregulated 808 around, they come off the charger at about 4.2v but never drop below 3.7v unlike most other gen1 808s which can fall as low as 3.2-3.4v. Thats where the inconcistency of 808s were was in the cheaper gen1 batts. I actually prefer my v4l batts over my volt (same as bloog). And the longer cutoff timer is great because I love taking long drags. Edited February 25, 2012 by blucavvy

Are you saying that batteries stop working if you take too long a Vape/drag? exactly, certain batteries have built in timers to stop the battery from frying an atomizer. The vape on the Sd Keyring is really good,so far I've only tried the cartos they came with (the camel juice is fair but the high mg is too much for me since I normally vape 0-9mg will save those for my wife) Boge 2.0 and 3.0 cartos(my goto) and it does as well or better than an eGo or 3.7 mod. I got two of them and so far the vape time on a 2.0 is ~2hrs. and 3.0 is ~3hrs. Thats o.k, since it's supposed to be ~300 mah but the charge time is ~3hrs. so that kinda sux I've tried the usb charger that they came with and a 510 charger that I already had,had to use a 510 extender for that one tho. They will also charge on a 808 pcc with adapter I think I'll put 1 in the car and the other in the truck with 12v usb adapters for backups.
