grillman65 Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 1st, I have an eGo kit, I don't think it is an Joye, or is it? If I wanted an extra battery, could I use a Joye? 2ed, I ordered a reosmods mod, but I did not know it didn't come with a battery or charger, where can I get those?
grillman65 Posted January 14, 2012 Author Posted January 14, 2012 I guess I can go to megabatterys.com, unless there is some place better. Please let me know, I need to order these before I get my mod.
grillman65 Posted January 14, 2012 Author Posted January 14, 2012 one more thing, should I get a battery with the PCB protection button top, would it fit?
grillman65 Posted January 14, 2012 Author Posted January 14, 2012 I found this place. http://www.megabatteries.com/item_details2.asp?id=16879&cat_id=207&uid=1397 Would this work?

Where did you get the eGo kit from? If it was from Vapor Talk I guarantee you Chris only sells Joyetech. If you got it from somewhere else and it isnt a Joye, you still can use Joye batteries if you wish. Which Reo did you get? Some take different size batteries. The site recommends AW IMR batts. You can get them here: http://www.cloudsofvapor.com/store/31-batteries-and-more/6-batteries/118-aw-batteries/1055-aw-imr-18650-37v-2000mah-high-drain-li-ion-battery.html
Jeffb Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 18650 batts are a couple of bucks cheaper here: http://www.provape.com/AW-Rechargeable-Batteries-p/aw18650-2000.htm
Jeffb Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 And even cheaper here: http://www.supertmanufacturing.com/id75.html
grillman65 Posted January 14, 2012 Author Posted January 14, 2012 I got the Jatoba Cocobolo 2. It takes the 18650 battery. I got my eGo from a local shop.
grillman65 Posted January 14, 2012 Author Posted January 14, 2012 So do I want to get a protected battery?
Jeffb Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 The chemistry of the AW IMR's is such that it doesn't need a protection circuit. The batts with the PCB's are a little longer so you may want to check with Reosmods to see if it will fit.
