Xsvap
I just popped my first carto on my ego after filling it with 10 drops of juice and I can't get any vapor out of it. I'm not even getting burnt filler taste. It all looks in working order, but not working. I'm using my carts till I can figure this out, but I don't really wanna waste juice on non functioning cartos. Suggestions?
BirdDog
Cartomizers hold more liquid than a regular cartridge. 10 drops is not enough for an initial fill. Try adding more liquid and see if it works. If it doesn't work after that, it is either not making contact with your battery or you received a DOA cartomizer. It happens not much you can do about it. Try these videos for filling. The second video shows how to fill a KR808, but the same rules apply to filling a 510. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CeaqRV4PmzA&feature=player_embedded#! Xsvap
Yeah, I've watched that second one. It just occurred to me to feel the carto for heat. Since I'm not getting any heat can I assume it's doa?
bobthesalesclerk
I have never gotten a DOA cartomizer but it does happen sometimes. NOt really much you can do about it. The best thing to do to test cartos without wasting liquid is to put them on the battery and activate them FOR A SECOND. If you hear a quick sizzle or popping sound the carto is good to go and you haven't wasted any of the precious. Kazzoo
I would think a quick check with a multimeter would tell you if the the carto is good or not. If it tests "good" (in the range of the ohms its supposed to be) and not bad (a open circuit) it can only be the connection. Sometimes the center post of the Carto is recessed too far in. I have used a small flat tip screw driver and picked the the center ever so slightly outwards. (My brand of cartos have a slot on the center post). No full turns please or you will break off the wires inside the carto. The other issue could be the connection on the battery end. I have a Varible voltage ego that is fussy about connections and had to solve that by using a 510 to 510 adaptor. Sometimes known as a charging adaptor or extention. Made up for the slop or differences in the manufacturing of the battery/carto connections for me. Yeah vaping can be fiddly sometimes, but to be able to use cartos' is worth the effort. Good luck Kaz

mcquinn
I usually put 22 drops in and you has to let it soak in for at least 10 minutes. That is for a standard 510 carto,an Ego Mega carto would take even more. Some times the threads are not cut good and you have to screw it on and off a few times to get it to screw all the way on.And make sure to charge the battery .
