Fox5
I all I'm glad I found this place. A few weeks ago I had no idea "Vaping" has come so far from those e- sigs I would see at the liquor store. It stll a little confusing and way to much to look at but I'll get the hand of it soon. A little about me and why I am looking to get into this. I chew tobacco and have for 18+ years, this has to stop and now. Nic gum didn't work for me so I hope this well, I love all the ritual and pride of ownership in some of the devices so I think this just might work for me ( I collect custom knives and am on other forums and I see a lot of similarities) I have never Vaped yet and still have to get a device but I have been lurking and what I have narrowed it down to is, I would like to pick up a super T PP 18350( I was pretty excited to place that order but when I clicked on ad to cart nothing happened, must be out hopefully more well come in soon so I can throw my can of chew avay and start a healthier life I am also looking at the GG, and I love the looks of the epipemods, I used to smoke a pipe so I like that idea. Any advice on other high quality Mods and vaporizers, companies, Jude, and custom devices well be greatly welcomed. Anyway thanks for the forum an please excuse all the noob q I well be asking Best regards, Matt
mcquinn
Welcome ,for starters you may want to just get an Ego and some cartos. After a while you will have a better idea on which mod to get and who to get it from.Keep it as simple as posssible and concentrate on technique and finding your perfect liquid.3.7 volts is 3.7 volts to an atty or carto. Jeffb
Hi Matt welcome to Vapor Talk. I agree with McQuinn. Try out an eGo first and then work your way up to mods. Or just get a Provari.
BirdDog
Welcome Matt. I agree with both McQuinn and Jeff. Start with the eGo kit. Most of the vaping veterans, that have the bigger battery mods, also still use our eGo batteries. They are great for taking out and around town. Much easier to carry around in a pocket, purse or bag. Losing an eGo battery setup is less painful than losing your big battery mod at an event.

DAYVAPE
I would also say to start with the eGo. Once you have the 'hang of vaping'... then start in with the more expensive mods that are out there... and that you already have your eyes on. I have a smallish collection of mods myslef... and I still enjoy using each and every one of them at different times, whenever I get the urge to grab one up. Starting with an eGo, you are at least starting off right and with something of quality, and not some gas station POS. I have a 'box pipe' from the guys at epipemods as well... and I will be buying another style after I have some extra cash burning a hole in my pocket. They are really nice pipes... and all one of a kind pieces of art... that happen to vape! The GG is sort of a advanced users mod... I sort of think, and it takes a bit of tinkering at times from what I've seen in videos, etc. Enjoy it ... and just remember to pay off that credit card bill every month or it can get out of hand... ask me how I know! I recently placed my order for a FEEDER GRIP mod... another hand-made/wooden mod, that just oozes beauty and functionality! I can't wait till he gets her done! Here's his gallery of the GRIPS: http://sweetvapes.co...RIPgallery.aspx I mean... talk about thought out! Look how tiny this one is.. and it's a feeder (mine will be a big brother to this) Edited December 14, 2011 by DAYVAPE
Uma
Welcome to VT, Matt! p.s. I agree with all the above posts. The eGo rocks and it gives you time to research as you're happily vaping along. While both the mods you're obsessing over are quite nice, they do take time to learn their learning curves. Pick up an ego & some boges and you'll be good to go right off the bat.
