I don't understand why they are trying to ban e-cigarettes?

What is the logic in banning them, when analogs are not being banned?

Why does Pay Pal let some suppliers uses them but not others?

Thanks All.

There's a crap load of reasons why they're banning ecigs. They say it's because the FDA hasn't approved it yet and we don't know how safe it is or whatever. They also say that's it's because e-cigs are easily accessible to children. I don't know. A lot more people on this forum can explain it better than me, but I think it all just comes down to politics, money and greed.

That thing with Pay Pal is new actually. Maybe only a few weeks now, so I'm sure their goal is to not let any e-cig suppliers use them. They just haven't gotten to all of them yet.

hummm Im 45 yrs old. been smokeing since I was a kid. I have kids, teenagers, I do not belive they would, do, might have any problems getting analog smokes. Pot is aginst the law and people buy it.

The pay pal keeping us safe. I purchased a ladder with pay pal. a Hilti nail gun, uses 22cal blanks to shoot a nail into steel.....and power tools, with pay pal, I know I could hurt myself alot more, and faster with that stuff than the 801 I ordered.

I find polaticians funny, going to protect doglips and the rest of us from a e-smoke...but I can walk into any home depot, lowes, as you any of you....load a shoping cart with a circuit breaker box, 100 amp brakers, wire and electrical tools and no one trys to stopus..ask if I (we) know what we'er doing, if were too stupid to be buying this stuff. Im not a doctor, FDA person, but Im willing to bet that IF I pork up while wireing a 100amp circuit, while holding the 801 in my mouth, it will be the amprage that kills me, not the 801....but I bet the news crews would show the 801 on TV and not the Home Depot recipt.

There really is no logic behind it. Most of it is money, pure and simple.

As for Pay Pal the reason some suppliers are still using Pay Pal...is because Pay Pal hasn't found them yet, but when they do, you can bet they will pull their accounts as well.

It's really sad, I suggest you write your senator and make sure they don't take ecigs away in your state. It's only a matter of time...

  • 2 weeks later...

PayPal has been doing this to many different industries ever since Ebay bought them many years ago. But not to worry there are plenty of payment processors to work with. PayPal does not have the market cornered.

They are banning e-cigs for the same reason they are banning regular cigs through taxation; they want CONTROL! Its not about the money, or your health. They want your soul. Anything you enjoy, anything that makes you happy, it will be taken. Just look at how hard it will soon be to own a pet. You don't believe me? Check into animal premises ids, spay neuter enforcement, and the fact that we now have so few "unwanted" animals that shelters are now farming in dogs from 3rd world countries. As KMFDM said - "They want your soul."

Yes, it is about control and money. The "Golden Rule - He who has the gold, makes the rules" The e-Cig products didn't ask permission to be sold here and didn't pay at the altar of the FDA. The tobacco lobby has the FDA in their pocket, that's power to control. There is nothing in it for the tobacco companies, really, because the more people who switch to e-Cigs the less they buy analogue cigarettes. They are trying to stop the e-Cig revolution before it goes global and knocks them out of the third world markets, where they make more money there (due to taxation and regulation) than the US, the UK and Western Europe.
