Strykker118A
Well my Ego Mega went for a swim in the washing machine earlier. The atomizer is ok cause it dont hurt for it to be wet but its the battery Im worried about. It acted funny and the manual button light stayed on when I pressed the button but went out after about a minute. Im afraid to charge it for fear it might mess up my only charger. Im gonna let it set and dry for a few days and see what happens. Im just glad it was my 650mah battery and not my new 1000mah ego battery I just got. Wheeew. Anybody ever washed a battery and does it ruin them completely?
joe2003
Try putting the batt in a bag of uncooked dry rice for ~3 days. if the board wasn't fried when you pushed the button right after the bath, maybe the rice will dry it out.Hope this works for you, It seems to be a popular fix for batheing electronics. Uma
Yikes!! I agree with Joe. Cover it in rice and let it dry completely before trying it. You might want to change the rice daily as well. Good luck!
Saabdrifter
I've had an eGo and a RIva go for a swim. I let the eGo dry on its own and did the rice trick for the Riva. They both survived and are still working.
GPurv
Did the same. Blew the atty out but the battery was fine. Thanks to the light on the button, it was pretty easy to fish it out of the bottom of the machine!
