It Came...

My 8084 came in the mail today. I opened it up, and started trying to read the directions, which are translated from Chinese, so they make no sense whatsoever. It's hilarious, frustrating, and tragic all at the same time.

I figured out how to hook the battery up to the charger so it can charge for 8 hours or so. But as far as the atomizer goes... Do I just unscrew the atomizer, put a cart in, and then screw the atomizer back on, and that's what I have to do every time I change carts? I figured it would be more simple than that...

Also, anyone know where I can find a set of instructions written by people who speak English as their first language?? lol

Thanks!

James

I am not familiar with your model but most time you just pop on a fresh cart and go. What is the reason for unscrewing the atomizer?

You have the batt, which screws onto the atomizer, which fits into the filter. I assume you have to put the cart inside the filter, and then put the atomizer back on, so it's actually making contact with the liquid.

It's a very simple process.

1. You have 3 pieces. Atomizer, Battery, Cart.

2. Plug the battery into the charger. The initial charge should be for about 6 hours. (8 hours is overkill IMO)

3. Take the battery out of the charger (after the initial charge) and screw the atomizer onto the battery

4. You now have a silver atomizer attached to the battery right? good. Now you have your carts...

5. Pop a cart onto the atomizer. Vape until the vapor runs low. Once the vapor is low, remove the cart and either store for later use (IE using liquid to refill the cart) or throw it away in the trash. Open another packed with a cart inside and pop that one onto the atomizer and repeat.

Easy. :)

Yeah, but the atomizer is attached to the filter and it won't come off.

OK yeah I have it charging. Actually the light just turned green. Should I ignore that?

3. Take the battery out of the charger (after the initial charge) and screw the atomizer onto the battery

I will do that if I can get it off the brown filter.

4. You now have a silver atomizer attached to the battery right? good. Now you have your carts...

Actually gold, but yeah.

5. Pop a cart onto the atomizer. Vape until the vapor runs low. Once the vapor is low, remove the cart and either store for later use (IE using liquid to refill the cart) or throw it away in the trash. Open another packed with a cart inside and pop that one onto the atomizer and repeat.

OK so I just screw a full cart right onto the atomizer. OK we'll see if I can do this. Again, I can't figure out how to get the atomizer off the filter.

I should clarify that my cartridges are not one piece with the filter, like most models are these days. My carts are tiny little plastic blue things with white caps on them.

Please post a link to where you purchased your ecig from. Perhaps you have a cartomizer model.

If you don't have a cartomizer model, then I should note that it helps to have to atomizer ON the battery to take of the cart. They are a little stiff when you first buy them.

What's a cartomizer? Is that where the cart and the atomizer are one piece? That's not the case here.

Here is what I bought

Gotcha. I figured it out. It will just be a real pain re-filling these bad boys. ;)

It says they pre-charged the batt. I charged it anyway for a while, and it seems to be working fine. I took it off because I've heard that if you overcharge the batt, it will ruin the batt.

The atomizer gets hot really fast and does not cool down. Ugh.

If they precharged it then vape away!

A cartomizer model is when the atomizer is built into the cart. Every time you use a new cart you get a new atomizer. This option is a big expensive though. http://www.vapornine.com has them

I'm also going to move this thread over to the noobie area.

That's what I thought it meant.

I just watched a review of this exact model from the same manufacturer. This guy really likes them. I'm enjoying it too. I'm just concerned over how fast the atty gets hot and not being able to tell when the cart is dry, both of which I know can ruin the atty.

Chris, I just watched your video on direct dripping. I thought it was funny how you mentioned how disgusting the tobacco liquid that comes with your e cig tastes, cause I'm not really enjoying mine either cause of the nasty taste.

I can't do direct dripping cause I have an automatic battery.

Does anyone know what other models have batteries that are compatible with the 8084? Should I post this question somewhere else?

You can direct drip with an automatic battery, you just run a risk of ruining the battery. I dripped on my auto battery's plenty of times and even though one of them died on me I am fairly certain it wasn't from juice getting in it.

Just be aware of your battery connection and clean it off with a paper towel or rag say every 3-4 times that you drip and you should be fine.

Also battery's are going to die so don't do like I did and get yourself some spares! ;)

There are no manual batteries for that model. I hate to say but you really have to purchase a better model.

That said, you CAN still drip on it if you wish, you just have to make sure you don't over do it. Use 2 drips max then make sure you lay the ecig on it's side or take the atomizer off so as not to get liquid inside the battery.

There are no manual batteries for that model that I know of. There are no other batteries that will fit on that model that I know of.

I wouldn't leave your battery charging for too long, but I don't think it something you have to worry about. I leave mine in overnight all the time :)
