Got My First Mod

Recommended Posts

It's not a good idea no. There are a number of articles written why this is dangerous. It's been quite some time since the silver bullet was released and there is much more info available now. I'm sure an SB user can comment on what type of battery setup they're using :)

Glad your enjoy your first mod though!

I used the Tenergy LiFePO4s in my SB for several months. Keep them in sets (I had 3 sets). I never had any issues.

I know a lot of people were also using the Tenergy RCR123A Li-Ion batts also.

The LiFePo4s will give you 5.2-5.4 volts under load. Be prepared to go through attys fairly fast and to occasionally pop one on the first hit. At 6V attys were lasting me about 2 weeks on average.

I think stacking batteries was more of an issue before protection circutry became the norm.Something to do with high discharge rates and sudden releases of energy (explosions) 6 volts seems a little over the top for me ,I like to stay under 4 volts.

:jump: Congrats!!! I love my black SB and I'm sure you'll love your WSB just as much. (yay, they finally have some fun colors to buy!).

I don't vape mine at 6... I prefer the long battery life of the regular good ol 18650.

I see the Liquinator has a Phat tank for the SB's. I'm going to get me one if it's the last thing I ever do...
