clankfu
Can someone give me a breakdown of differences between the different types of e-liquids (PG, VG and PEG) and what the possible advantages/disadvantages of each type would be? Is one perceived to be "healthier" than the others?
Brian
Typically, PG is thinner, carries flavor better and gives a better throat hit. VG is very thick (but can be thinned with PGA (like everclear) or distilled water, produces massive clouds of vapor compared to PG and usually has a softer/smoother throat hit. Some will argue about the flavor and throat hit, but this is just my experience and what I've heard most say on the forum (this one and others). I'm not familiar with PEG and really the only place I see much about it is Totally Wicked. Some people are allergic to PG, but it's said to be only about 3% of the population. You can find PG and VG in may household products. You'll be surprised once you start looking at labels and seeing it in many things. Unless you have problems with one or the other, most use an 80/20 mix (PG/VG). Edited August 1, 2011 by Brian
