cheryli Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Or is it just LR cartomizers you can't use on the standard 510 battery? Why? My gf does it and it seems to work fine.
Sharon Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 I know that LR drains your batteries quicker than SR. That could be the reason.
snubber Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 (edited) 2]4]That's exactly the reason why not. The small 510 batteries just can't handle the strain. It will kill them much quicker. Edited July 19, 2011 by snubber
Brian Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 The LR cartos/attys will try to pull way more amps than the battery can provide. It can kill the battery. Still, I have heard people say they've done it. The standard Joye 510 atty is 2.2ohm so I suspect there's not much risk of using a 2.0ohm Boge carto. Going below that is probably really pushing it.
Christopher Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 You can use regular cartomizers no problem, it's just the LR cartomizers. They use twice the power. A 510 battery is quite small and you risk killing the battery. No to mention the battery life is cut in half.
